I have purchased and read the Heroine Diaries. This song is about his girlfriend at the time - Vanity. The book is a collection of diaries he wrote in the early to mid 80's. Most of these songs are about the drugs he took and his relationships (or lack there of). Vanity lived with him for a time and did move things around. They both "tripped" badly together - hence losing my mind.

I've had some problems with drugs in my past as a child. Luckily I hit bottom early on and nearly lost my life before I woke up and realized this is someone I don't want to be. But I have to admit there's nothing that can ignore a problem like a simple dose of medication.
