I think they were 6,000 kelvin. I have some installed in my fog lights, and for bright lights on my new car. They are the "stock 5,500k" or something like that. They are supposed to look like stock HIDs but they are a bit too blue. I have factory LED lights now, but they are only the dims, the brights and fogs were halogen.
you dont need just projectors 4 hid cuz cars out there that hav halogen housing wit hid,4 ex..prius,maxima,acura,they all dont have projectors headlights but have hid from factory
they didnt look right because you put a hid bulb in a halogen housing. you need projector housings for the bulb to produce even light and without glare.
Well, true but not in all circumstances. It was a halogen housing, but it was in no way designed for high intensity lights. Many cars are reflector based high intensity discharge lights, but they have to be engineered for it. Projector housings are the best though, because they focus the light.
u dont need projectors 4 hid's sum cars have hid&halogen housing,02 acura TL,toyota prius,03 nissan Maxima which i drive all have factory hid, just need to adjust aim of lights
I have traded it, and I got a Prius. I've been averaging 45-50 miles per gallon in the winter, and think that's awesome. I have a Blazer for any SUV needs. Thanks though, I did experience problems with the transmission.
why would you trade it in i have had my Rendezvous sence they came out in 2002 and i love it i have never had a single problem with it everything works great the Rendezvous is the only car i will be driving for a long long time......
Unfortunately, I had a few problems with mine, and couldn't afford the gas for it. I was also pretty unsatisfied with the all wheel drive performance in the winter. If I had several children, and lots of cargo all the time, I would have loved to keep it though. It was really comfortable.
well maybe not kill yourself, but it dont half make you jump, lol, like grabbing hold of a spark plug lead,,,in the rain,,i wont do that again in a hurry, why you ask ?,,,,it was missfireing, due to a loose lead,so i gave it a wiggle (with wet hands)F*** that hurt,lmao..
when working on any car electrical system, remove the ground first,be it +ve or -ve ground,,most today are -ve ground.but always check first,(its the one that goes to the body)....
OMG I haven't watched this for a long time. Did I not do that? I know I did putting them in. Sheesh I cannot believe I did that, with the ballast I could have killed myself..
I replaced it with a prius. I know that isn't particularly exciting but it enables me to do the amount of driving I need to do. I really enjoy it as a vehicle too.
I'm not a fan of the Prius, but they are very good cars. They don't live up to the hipe, but they are still very good cars. You can't kill a Toyota! I would know, I've got a 2000 Camry with 108,000 miles! Good luck with your Prius!
If you mean the Buick Rendezvous, and you are thinking about getting one, don't. They depreciate like nothing ever before. When I bought mine, it was worth $16,000 on kelly blue book. When I sold it a year later, I was only able to get $7,000 for it. Believe me when I say, I will never purchase one again. Also: Had a transmission problem [$700+], and a few other minor things that cost about $500.
actually the best designed vehicles basically have that. as long as they are secure and not flopping and shakey like the annoying ones you see on the road sometimes. Examples: Porsche, Mercedes... they have easily swappable headlights.
my 2005 volvo s40's do the same - simply lift a latch and pull the light out, what's wrong with that - called innovate design. least i dont spend hours crushing my fingers around the back of the headlamp.
Mine was extra crappy. I aimed them down. It didn't diffuse very well, which isn't visible with a dimmer softer light. Put the brigher ones in, and u see the beams. BIg time.
boring

It is a better practice to remove the ground connection from the battery prior to removing the positive.

As boring as this video was, i must commend your sense of humor. I had a good laugh. "...careful not to ground myself..." etc!
