On another video, a Korean guard basically said, "When the U.S. drops its hostile attitude toward us, we will need not one nuclear weapon."

Not only the weapons but the support system need to keep an Army or Resistance in operation.KNPA does not have the food reserves nor international supply lines needed to support combat in the field for long. Best estimates say they could field a 500,000 Army for only about 90 days. You drive them underground and stop food producition. They exhaust food supplies and starve in about 60 days bc they will try field 1,000,000, they arent a viable Army anyway. They hold Souel hostage thats the problem

Veitnam was alot different, Laos, Cambodia and China were giving "safehaven" to the Viet Cong and the NVA and US could not enter these countries nor bomb them because DC never had enough votes to declare "war"..there was no "war" only "police action" so the US could only fight with 10% of its Military Power at one time! The US and the USSR used to set off big atomic bombs like each month all throughout the 50s and 60s just for testing during the cold war. we dropped a whole bunch of them on "Bikini Island" nuclear test range. DPRK brings no money to the table for China, in fact China would use it as a Joint US-China-S Korea training exercise to test out the Chinese military complex they have built. every time we "leave them alone" they treaten South Korea again to get our attention. The DPRK NEEDS the threat of war to keep the Kim family in power! This is not a normal country it is a family business! Without the US or South Korea, the Kim family could not justifiy its harsh Rule or explain the dismal economy to the peopl of the DPRK. If the Kim family loses power the whole family will be killed by the North Korean people when they find out the truth that he killed and imprisoned millions!

No, if you dont keep the DPRK contained they will sell weapons and become very strong, then they will become a real problem. You have to keep them small, but we dont keep them hungry, Mr. Kim does that for internal reasons.

This is not something you just leave to China. Any other time I would not have a problem with staying out of it. But North Korea's leader is a psycho. He is testing nuclear weapons and openly threatening the United States. China will do nothing, they are North Korea's allies. I wouldn't doubt it if China is helping them make the weapons.
