I'm Lakota and I have always LOVED this movie. I first saw it when I was in the army in Germany in the early '70s...the rugged individualism that is the film's primary theme is why I love it so much...and nothing to do with racial issues...watch the movie and YOU will see!

i remember when i watched this with my dad...i alwase dreamed of living in the mountains..im getting all teared up great memories :)
