@Mavleop Type "units" (space/enter). Change "Decimal" to "Architectural." FYI - this is covered in the early AutoCAD Fundamental videos on my channel.
love the fillet trick for the L shape corners.. sure beats all that triming.. learn somethin new bout autocad everytime i mess with it.. but the fillet to trim is by far the best ive picked up so far.. ty
@foilmark1 Sure...it depends on your goal. If you just want to draft a small, simple floor plan as quickly as possible, then absolutely. If you want to learn the software that professionals use for large, complex projects, such as detailed 2D construction drawings, then you'd want to learn AutoCAD. Your choice.
Thank you for the very informative 3-part series on this subject! The one question that I still have looming is how to output the architectural measurements like you show in your original plans. I have tried to do so in a uniform and easy to read manner, but keep ending up with results that are either too small or jumbled to read easily. Thank you for your quick response to this question!

there are programs out there that do the same thing way, way simpler than AC, way less complicated
