I friggen love this fight! It just seems like the hits actually do realistic damage. The sound and animation actually work really well in giving the fight a lot of weight.

It's a lot more dramatic and relatable in this way.

Plus it's just better in how it's done. Not only is it faster and smoother than almost all the fights in (lord forbid) Naruto and Bleach but, in addition, impacts seem to carry more weight.

Also, unlike most anime, particularily the afformentioned in which people fold unrealistically like jellow or slide off a punch like it's nothing, there seems to be resistance to hits in this, like their actually punching something solid!

And, as one final side not, it acutally takes the terrain into occasional, yet detailed account (ie, when Taiga knocked the desks out of the way while winding up for the hit at 0:59) I've seen it done better, but including everything else, and considering that this is a Romantic Comedy, they've made quite the minute and 13 second masterpiece!

Obviously a different animator for the fight, someone who actually knows how to coordinate it right. If they used the normal animation method it would have been choppy and awkward. When you loosen up the frames it lets them move more fluidly.
