  • excellent lesson! made the song seem simpler than it is!

  • Beautiful lesson, thank you very much!

  • @shadowtime23 Thanks and glad you liked it.

  • Can you do one of I'll Cry instead( A Hard Days Night)? Cant find a guitarist whos done a good lesson on it....

  • @rkalcocer11 Yep! It's coming soon. Love the song. Cheers.

  • You are one of the coolest dude/teacher ever

  • @holykarmor Thanks, I appreciate it. As for the strumming on She's Leaving Home, there's not much to it. Just up and down really and try to find a tempo that feels comfortable and suitable to the song. Sorry it wasn't clear on the vid. Thanks again. Joe

  • Hey Joe First Off, Great Cover... Second, Is It Okay For Me To Copy The Chords Down On Paper... I'd Like To Learn This Song But I'd Like To Write These Chords Onto Paper So I Could Learn Without Using The Battery On My Computer

  • @MegaMrSuperfly Thanks and glad you enjoyed. Of course it is okay to write down the chords. It's not my song after all and if it helps you then go ahead. Good luck and thanks again. Cheers.

  • Hi Joe,I could send you a copy of Michelle from the book and see what you think. Are you on facebook?

  • Hi Joe

I have Beatlemania Vol 2 1967-1970 and Vol1 1963-1966 by Maclen Music are you familiar with them ? If you are familiar with them do you know how accurate they are? Thanks Doug Niles

  • @dougniles1 Hi Doug, no I am not familiar with those. I'll check them out if I see them. However, the one I mentioned is the best one I've seen and I've seen many. Cheers mate.

  • Great tutorial, helped me a lot to learn this song!

  • @mtapiero Glad to hear that. Thanks for the comment.

  • Seriously man, thank you! Best tutorial on youtube for Michelle hands down. Keep up the good work!

  • @paultietjen You are too kind. Thanks for the great comment and glad you enjoyed. Cheers.

  • Good day Sir...... Thank you so much for a very very accurate lesson.Your a very good teacher. My wife's name is Michele (1 L) I've been promising her that I would learn the song for our anniversary.I did with your help..I was wondering if you knew of any on-line sites that have accurate tabs. All the tabs on ultimate-guitar transcribed by PJ Villanueva suck. Are there any sites that you know of with tabs that have actually been written by the artists ? Peace and thanks again Sincerely Doug Niles

  • @dougniles1 Hi there Doug. Sorry for the late reply. Glad you got the song down for your wife on your anniversary. i wish I could help you regarding tabs. Though there are some good tabs out there occasionally, It's hard to find really accurate ones for some Beatles songs. I use "The Beatles Complete Chord Songbook" Hal Leonard (Pub) and work out songs from there along with watching other tubers. Or you can keep watching me... ha ha. Thanks for the comments, Cheers, Joe

  • it is very amazing to me when i stumble upon something beautiful....you look at it ...and you take a second look at it and you can't believe your eyes....and then you realize how lucky one can be sometimes....and then simply you just enjoy it...that is how i feel about this video.... very nice lesson!!!! some of the chords you played here i could not figure out just by listening to the beatles or even following the sheet music that i bought.... thanks....

  • @besamemucho5

Oh I am so glad you feel that way! It's amazing to me to be able to meet so many nice people like you on Tube. Thanks so much for the kind words and I'm happy that I could help. Cheers.

  • Awesome tutorial! I've been wanting to play this song for ages, solo and all :D

  • @ChanelCoco555

Glad I could help out. Thanks for the support. Peace.

  • Thanks a lot。

  • @bulejacks

You're welcome. Thanks for the comment.

  • Me gusta mucho tu manera de hablar.

  • @CesarAdameD

    Gracias Cesar!

  • im pretty sure the 2nd is played the same as the 3rd diagram shows on this page

    jguitar.com/chordsearch?chordsearch=Fm7

    thanks alot for the lesson

  • @EIRE1NC

The Fm7 as you saw 131144 works fine, and most chord books have an Fm7 listed as the second chord.

However, I have a rough studio demo of Paul playing the song and also learned this song from a Beatles guitar wiz, who plays every song note perfect, and it seems that the correct chord is an F7(add9) 131244, a chord that George uses in Till There Was You. It's a tough chord to play barred, so I do it: xx3244 which is essentially the same. But the Fm7 works too. Thanks.

  • You're very great teacher!!!

  • @TheMetalzone619

Hello in Japan. Hope you are well. So sorry to hear about all the troubles your country is having.

Thanks for your message and glad you enjoyed. Peace be with you.

Hey Ben, thanks for the nice message. Glad if I could help and glad to hear you're Getting Better.

    Cheers, dude.

  • Hello!

    Thank you for this video.

Your instructions are easy to follow.

    :)

i just got a guitar for christmas and michelle will be the first song i learn how to play :)

    Thanks again.

  • @Leinettev

Merry Christmas and thanks for the message. Looking forward to seeing your video once you get the song down. Regards.

  • Thanks for the nice message and sharing your thoughts on the song. I know that

second chord sounds strange to the ear. It didn't sound right to me either, but I have a studio version of Paul practicing it (I downloaded somewhere) and that's what the chord sounds like. I've seen other people play an F#minor and that sounds more pleasing to the ear, but it is not exactly the chord. Also there is a vid of Paul live in Quebec 2008 where you see him playing this strange chord. Thanx.

  • Glad to be of help. Thanks for the support.

  • @jpm2u Hi there, FIrst Thank you ... I've learned to play this more or less, with your help. Thanks again ..

about second chord ... I've also stuck with it looking for other versions :)

Something didn't fit to my ear, and as I found it is because of 3rd string that makes it major,

so I came up with this one E-->e: 1x1144

It's about two weeks already I am holding in my mind this idea of coming back and sharing it with you and contributing to your efforts hopefully...

  • great tutorial man :D best one ive seen so far

I've been meaning to ask .... do you like the band ''Bread'' ??? more specifically the song '' Everything I own'' if you do ... maybe you could help US out cause we've searched everywhere , and haven't found a good lesson ! thanks a millions ! take care !

  • @loaya2112

Hi there. I know Bread very well and that is a great song too. I'll try to get a lesson on that when I can, but I can't say exactly when I'll get to it. Thanks again for the nice comments and I'll see what I can do. Joe

  • Joe, thanks a million, bud. That is just perfect. I can finally play this song to my girlfriend (her name is Michelle) =) Great job!!!

  • @boringvideo

I had no idea you were such a romancer. You're welcome and

thanks for the nice message. Hope she enjoys it.

  • Very clever of you to put the capo on the 5th it actually makes it easier to sing the bridge. (an octave down) . Most guitarists I Know put it on the 3rd.

    Well presented Joe.

  • @Haycroft2

I've seen Macca play it with the capo on the 5th. There's a

video of him playing in Quebec (2008, I believe). Anyway, it sounds

good there and glad it works for you. Thanks for the post. Joe

  • so romantic, so perfect for this week thanks you ARE the MAN!!!

  • @ellalotreto

No You Da Man...LOL. Thanks for the support. Joe

  • ooo thanks for this one! closing in on all of Rubber Soul!

  • @MrButtmunch7

You're welcome. Still a few good ones to come from one

    of my favourite albums. Thanks.

  • I´ve always played it with Fm after C in the chord progression. Now I see I always played it wrongly. Thanks for posting this great lesson.

  • @mikka1963

Glad I could help and thanks for the message.

It took me a while to hear what chord Macca

    was playing there. Thanks again.

  • @jpm2u, Laurence Juber, a former Wings guitarrist says in a Guitar Player interview that he remembers Paul playing Michelle and that chord was an F7#9, exactly the way you play it. Cheers.

  • @mikka1963

Thanks for the confirmation. I checked out your channel and you got some nice videos happening there. I especially liked the Nowhere Man solo. Cheers to you too mate.

  • @jpm2u the user hamburguitar‬‎ has some good videos on Beatles guitar solos. Cheers.
