  • Black people can sing. God knows.

  • I love the use of stride piano on the intro of this song!! Scott Joplin, Fats Waller, and Eubie Blake would be very proud!!! Wonderful!!

  • really LOL

  • These people have a lot of energy!

  • The music is originally from the Jazz Swing era when Big Bands were the sound back in the 1920s and 1930s. The song is called "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Benny Goodman and his Orchestra. It's not a new song or a new sound. Good to know your music history everyone.

  • Thats the music from Jungle Book and T. Monk the Jazz Pianist!

Lord have mercy - come out from among them.

  • I thought this was a "Church" video not something from new orleans.

  • his band is the bad to the bone but my church can go toe to toe with that choir any day

  • Got a jazzy New Orleans feel to it...I like it....

  • the thing the horns are doing is called bending notes, it kinda sounds like a elephant i guess but its supposed to give music a jazzy feel

  • I love those horns.

  • HEY GLORY....WE PRAISIN' GOD ANY OLE KINDA WAY!!

    DEFINITELY LUV THIS!!

  • I say dance, dance, dance....Use your gift unto the Lord however you deem necessary. Muscian PLAY, singers SING and yes Dancers DANCE. Let everything that has breath praise ye the LORD>

  • I dont see how that nurse of his sitting there didnt get tempted to get up and cut a step! If that was me, I woulda tore it up!

  • OFF THE CHAIN!

  • What style of music is that ending and what are some of the artists tat do that genre of music??? I'm so anxious to find out.

  • I tired of seeing ALMOST EVERYTHING where somebody is Shaking A DOGGONE PRAISE BREAK! I love my Ricky Dillard but it seems that people dont have a CLUE as TO WHAT PRAISE IS!!! UGGGHHHH!

  • that was hot..

  • I actually like the texts. Kept me anticipating something. Was not disappointed.

  • I actually like the texts...kept me anticipating. Was not disappointed.

  • whats the name of this song?

  • @altisismosax The song at the end is from the 1940s. It's a big band song called "Sing Sing Sing."

  • A praise break doesn't always need to be a fast-tempo pace song. This is again the genius work of Ricky Dillard by taking a big band classic and turning it into there own praise break......it's called praising GOD and having fun in the spirit realm!!

  • YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

  • That is no "praise break." Just people using praise as an excuse to boogey. What's wrong with holiness?

  • It sound i looked up the Blues Fest on on youtube and this came up instead.

  • Very James Hall. I love it! Great artistry.

  • That is Reggie strong playing the keyboard.

  • it kinda sounds like the taco bell theme music... (maybe from back in the day)

  • no thats the chips ohoy commercial.....

  • they served it man!!!...tight jazzy feel at the end!!!!

  • @saunei you got that right! This is one of the best praise breaks ever

  • SANG CHOIR!!!!!!! :)

@cbh0370 The name of the song is "Search Me Lord."

  • I love that groove...feel like I am gospel swinging!

  • what is the name of this song?

  • @cbh0370 Search me Lord by Ricky Dillard

  • Yeah!!! I love to see the saints shout. That's a tight band. I love how they incoorperated "Sing, Sing, Sing" in there.

  • Rickey is the man...love his choir!!

  • that guy cracked.lol...........

  • It's so funny how people seem to judge things so much these days.

  • hey wasnt that the old commercialsong for chips ohoy

  • 1st ppl complain about not enough man in the church and now ur complaining about 2 many men...make up yall minds...

  • i dnt believe i was speaking to you but ok

  • So uh WHERE"S THE PRAISE BREAK? Seems to me we call everything a Praise Break nowadays. This was good though

  • what song are they singing first

  • search me, Lord

  • Search Me Lord by Ricky Dillard

  • yall beter praise him!!!!!!

  • THEM HORNS ARE *SICK* YES YES!!

  • Now this is hott.

  • i think its the jive...thats tight!!

    PRAISE HIM!!

  • idk. i jux remember it 4rm the old chips ahoy commercial

  • I love the tenor and soprano sections on here. THEY SO INTO IT. Especially the tenors. I love the energy

  • I noticed a lot of horn sections are getting overdubbed recorded in studios instead of recorded live.....

  • amen

  • Time for a little music history lesson. I hope you all know that Ricky didn't write that. The song to which they pay tribute is called "Sing, Sing, Sing". It was made famous by the Benny Goodman Orchestra in the 1930's. And if you think Ricky's drummer is awesome, check out Gene Krupa, the drummer that created that signature tom pattern...

  • Yes, you are correct. I think I made this same statement a few months back. AND... additionally, the vocal arrangement isn't his either, Edwin Hawkins did it this way back in the late 60's or early 70's on the "MORE Happy Days" album.

Love Ricky for paying homage to those musical giants of various genres. He doesn't forget those that paved the way. So, as an upcoming artist myself, I ain't mad at him one bit!!!! Keep going bruh! lol

  • Could you lay of those texts in the middle of the screen. kinda annoying

  • maybe.

  • LOL LOL

  • @jessroy2004 uh, ELEPHANTS? Are you SERIOUS?

  • @raystar8888 the horns, my friend... use your imagination!

  • @jessroy2004 Ok, but do YOU really imagine ELEPHANTS?

  • @raystar8888 Very much so. Imagination is not even needed to hear the similarity between the horns, and an elephant's blow. The elephant's sound is said to be comparable to the sound of a trumpet. This is a rather elementary concept. Look it up.

  • @jessroy2004 Trumpets? Those sound like trombones. Don't they?

  • @raystar8888 YEP

  • the whole band is sick especially reggie strong on keys

  • the drummer is awesome!!!!

  • Is that patrick riddick in the front

  • Yes.

  • they are reallyt good but the men, including ricky gets a little carried away.

  • they are having to much fun

  • Aren't they dancing to the music from "42nd st." ? Is that appropriate? I think we sometimes get carried away in our "freedom"..........

  • No. See, i can understand where your coming from; Traditionally speaking. That 42nd sound was as your right was associated with night clubs, booze, drugs, etc. If you took that all away, its just music. The Devil might have corrupted it, but ricky brought it back with a religious revenge. I can feel it!

  • I know I'm old school and don't know what

42nd street you all are talking about. LOL. But I DO know that this came from the Big Band era when there were NO words. Research Benny Goodman and I think the name of it is Sing, Sing, Sing. I'm only 35, but I love OLD music. So, I guess it's okay. Didn't have words originally, so, what's the harm. (unless someone did it before Benny WITH words) ???

  • Exactly. Its nothing wrong with it. I love it. Some people are just sensitive to this

  • that was cool. could u post the whole thing?

  • Who should we go to BATTLE against?

  • The global institution of Racism-White Supremacy. Lucifer in the flesh. Your 4000 year old oppressor, that's who. Black men are the only beings on the planet without the backbone to stand up for himself and take his destiny into his own hands. Instead, we waiting on a dead whiteman to come back and take us to heaven. I don't want the same one who put me in this condition to do NOTHING for me but watch out for my sword! Its time we stand up as REAL MEN! Only then will GOD be on our side!!!

  • @jessroy2004 the Devil that Y we here

  • Why are u booing this choir?

  • what song was this?

  • search me lord

  • I really get tired of hearing people spouting this nonsense about concerts being show, entertainment, etc. (although admittedly I used to be in that number). At what point did you forget that you were once caught up in something (or maybe you still are). You can neither judge anyone's heart nor their praise. Somebody had to pray for you and minister to you. Those people are exactly where they need to be. You fail as a "saint" if you're too good to touch these people. God can, so where are you?

  • Uh...um...ok....what was that...I thought I was back in the 40's at The Ritz! Don't take too much out of the "Gospel Flava"...when you do, of course, it tastes like nothing.

  • I love it

  • GO HEAD RICKY!!!!!!!

    ....tjIII

  • Love the fact that they tied in Sing, Sing, Sing. I think the musicians here are genius.

  • Come on now! I was looking for a praise break...lol!

  • My COGIC counterparts and lil bruhs' Reggie Strong on the keys...... and Brent Easton(Drums).... Indiana's own!

  • dude on the keys is the Music Pastor at my church..

  • U must be talking about the men in the choir. How do u know if they are???

  • How do we all know you are not???

  • LOL I like where this is going. If I am, what u going to do about it? 2.) I think u are 3.) I think those men in the choir are prefectly fine. As long as they are not kissing on stage or whatever u can fuckin think of, get over it.

  • you just messed urself up. u let this person get to you and use words that are not pleasing to God. If you are gonna argue in favor of God, you must represent yourself as such

  • NO I DIDNT. Im not saved and neither will i act lukewarm. U either be hot or cold. I spoke to him the same way he did me. Did u see the mess he left on my page?????? Again, words dont mean nothing, but when u start talkin about my faith, my parents, my education, which those last 2 have NOTHING to do with this video? I knew exactly what i was doing. I exposed him, threw the same mess back in his face, and called it a night. He's the one who needs to get a focus and get himself together.

  • @MarvelousMarQ seriously dude, everybody is not gay. I'd like to know how you know these guys were not wearing any underwear? Were you specifically looking? I'm beginning to question YOUR sexuality if anything.

  • @internetfan2005 Sir, I'm not going to sit here and argue truth. Apparently, you must be a part of the undercover brutha crew in the church these days.

Oh, and I know who is and who ain't because I've been asked to join that mess and I KNOW some of these dudes personally and I REFUSE to disrespect the name of God and His church by shaming God's name.

    I'm done speaking with you.

Get at me when you ready to speak TRUTH to me.

  • @MarvelousMarQ I'm not a part of anybodys crew, nor am I undercover about anything. I'm just saying that I don't know guys who look specifically to see if someone is wearing undergarments or not. I'm just sayin. I'm not arguing anything, I"m just saying that not everybody is gay. When you say TRUTH, you mean "get at me when you decide that you agree w/ me 100%). I'm speaking the truth right now, I'm saying that not everyone is gay, and it's also true that you have an obsession w/ it.

  • These concerts are nothing but shows for entertainment and to line another man's pockets. I remember going to Tremaine Hawkins' recording and I couldn't believe the mess I saw there. That was my first and LAST time at a recording. Nothing but a bunch of homosexuals flaunting their sexuality all over the place. I'm not hating on anyone but it makes no sense that there were men there who clearly wore no underwear walking around with their business hanging out. Lovers hugged up together- a mess.

  • That has nothing to do with the music. Of course there those in the gospel industry, but just focus on the message of the songs being sung. They have a right to praise 2

  • Whatever weirdo. I know that. Somebody could shout thier head off and god could ignore it for reasons as u stated above. Ricky pulled alot of his lyrics from Psalms. whether or not he brnging "strange fire", the ones who are listening arent lookin at ricky. They are listening to the word. Not his fur coat, flamboyancy, etc. They are listening to the message of the song. The spirit will touch and thier praise will be for real unto god for those who are true unto him

  • dats rite! however, if we are gonna follow a leader such as a pastor or minister of music, it should be a leader of integrity cuz the lambs will roam free if the shepherd is foolish

  • Exactly

  • thats not a praise break?????????? they got one on there tho.

  • Where is the Mask?

  • i was at this concert...THAT WAS ALL VAIN, complete nonsence, what the heck were we thinking? we might as well been at club dancing to 50 cent or mary j blige cause god aint gettin nothing out of that...

  • I hear ya. I woke up to my senses about hype at concerts. I went to this concert too. Just check out the comments section on this artist other videos. Always controversy. You remember the fur coat business at the end of the show. MADNESS!

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, YA YO I REMEMBER....someone gotta remind him this aint no broadway show, even if we ay a concert.

  • Hey mineowe, Everybody likes to defend this guy but when I brought up that issue on another New G video none of the New G "promoters" had anything to say. Also the intro of his rich "friend". Another hot mess at that concert. I guess they will get this video taken down or block the comments or delete comments. That is the norm on Youtube New G videos. People need to wake up and stop ignoring the blatant facts. Amazing the extreme effort people do to hide FACTS.

  • To be honest, everything can't be "SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP". The bible does say to praise him in the "dance" that's what they're doing. And it's not like they're up there givin' lap dances and rindin on each other....I mean gosh get a life & and have fun with it. Sing can be fun. This is what will attract people, cuz they'll say...."well if they're having fun praise GOD, then let me try it, let me go to church & have fun in Jesus' name!!!!!

  • Did you go to the Toronto recording? When a guy ends a concert bragging about: his fur coat (which he bust out), his rich friend aka investor buying him things, and how they worship/meditate together I guess I should get a life and have fun with that too. LOL. This is what me and minowe were talking about when we are talking about hype at concerts. Somebody has yet to explain to me what is the message Ricky was trying to send us in Toronto? All we got was the WRONG message.

  • im wit u!!!, i aint hatin on nobody....let eveything that has breath, praise ye the lord!!

  • i have to agree...you are so right

  • Church folk only see what they want to see. The writing on the wall is flashing like a neon sign lol!!! The sad thing is if Ricky was any other dude they'd crucify him.

  • So true....

  • @campdrew21 The sad thing is the church is built on truth and has sustained on lies.

  • OMY LORD

  • @mineowe surely you knew what you were signing up for when you purchased the ticket to go to the concert right? Why would you go to a Ricky Dillard concert if you don't like that style?

  • men! feel the beat, dats wat am talking abt, some bear necessities arangement;) where is baloo wen u need him,lol...i love it man, awesome!
