Question, when ur using a lure do u also use a weight so as to cast out the lure because the lures them selves are to light to cast & if u do use a weight how far from the lure do u put it? i hope some one can answer my question as i would love to try lure fishing! thank...

@WOLFGANGER666 for pike you want to be using bigger lures of around 20gram and up, there are so many different types, jerkbaits swimbaits, jigs, divers, surface lures, and so on....Depending on the water you are fishing depends on what you use..... but i dont get what you mean about lures been to light... could you shed some light onto the types of waters you fish?

Great catch but I wouldnt eat it! you should have got a shot of the toxic formaldehyde smog coming out of Scarriff chipboard or a shot of the HSE at Raheenwood and their surface discharge of sewage directly into the lake, or one of the many signs around the lake warning not to swim in the water as it is likely to cause skin irritation!
