  • This is funny enough, Rolando mentions great artists but what about the most dedicated tenor??, Alfredo Kraus. Where is his name said or written in this clip... amazing.

No pretendo inculcar nada sólo daba mi opinión.

  • @mrluistena I agree, This is a great documental job, but Kraus can not miss

  • @mrluistena

    tel the bbc

  • villazon is better than florez and kauffman

  • Hate Kauffman!

  • Why is there a change of resonance between 2:36 and 2:37?

  • @HeidelbergSoprano Lawrence Brownlee.

  • ahhaahahahahahaa auch! xd 2:38

  • gracias por subir este programa!!

  • Please don't EVER count Brownlee out.

  • this is interesting, thanks rolando and teresa59

  • Bravo!

  • what is the name of the opera at 3:50?

  • @orangutan141, is "La Traviata" (Giuseppe Verdi)

  • @teresa59 do you know the name of the song at 3:50?

  • @teresa59 What is the title of the aria?

  • @archeryguy1121, what aria? the first? is "La donna è mobile", from Rigoletto.

  • @teresa59 the one from "La Traviata" at 3:50

  • @archeryguy1121 , is a final part of "Ogni suo aver tal femmina"

  • @orangutan141, is a final part of "Ogni suo aver tal femmina" (La Traviata)

  • When I heard Florez sing those NINE high C's, I thought, "That's the next Pavarotti!" :) He is excellent! Keep it up, Juan! :)

  • @31operafan Different type. Florez is a Lirico-Leggiero Pavarotti was a full lyric. In comparison, Florez would be more like the next Alfredo Kraus or Luigi AlvA

  • Very interesting! :) I hope Villazon enjoys a long career. Don't worry; when Domingo retires and (God forbid) dies, we'll have Villazon and Juan Diego Florez to take over. Opera is not dead yet. It will probably continue long after we're all dead. I have high hopes. You may not agree with me, but that's OK.

  • Please, does anybody know what is Placido Domingo singing at 3:19? Thank you!

  • @sweltame, is "La dolccisima effigie", from Adriana Lecouvreur (Cilea)

  • whats the name of the song being sung at the start

  • @fellbeast17, is "La donna è mobile", from Rigoletto

  • I respect Florez saying it's difficult, but it IS easier for him than other tenors, his voice being naturally high.

  • @saintsaens21 You're right, this aria is easier for Leggiero.

  • Does anyone know the name of the opera at 3:45?

  • @winelegend, this is "Ogni suo aver tal femmina" (La Traviata), sings Joseph Calleja

  • Does anyone know the name of the aria at 2:57?

  • @tiwo1008 , Is "Di quella pira" (Il Trovatore), sings Franco Corelli

  • @teresa59 Thank you very much. For the answer and for sharing this wonderful documentary =)

  • I love @3:50 how Joseph Calleja hurles that money at Renee Fleming. That's probably the best interpretation of that scene that I've ever seen. I hope I can get my hands on a copy of that DVD.

  • xD When Villazon demonstrated the tenor range, and slammed his hand in the piano afterwards, I giggled. He's so funny! Some people believe he and Juan Diego Florez started the "third wave" of legendary tenors (the first began with Caruso, and the second began with Pavarotti).

  • Soh fala do Villazon??

  • thank you and yes could you post the soprano version please?

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Can you post the Soprano version as well??

  • Not a Villazon fan, probably never will be. Seems like a nice enough guy though, tenordom aside.

  • Another word for a great tenor ; Rolando Villazon

  • andale paisano que xido documental....eres grande...maestro....
