If ESC were a talent contest they would have each contestant sing the very same song from behind a curtain. This is more a popularity contest than artistry or talent contest. In my humble opinion if it were a talent contest Malena would have won hands down. If it had been an artistry contest Azerbaijan would have won... but since it is a popularity contest... neither won.

Celestial song, marvelous voice. Once again, Europe shows the world their poor sense of class and judgment. This has happened over and over again in their history. So, La Voix did not place well in the Finals (very well in the Semis) but La Voix is going down in history as a legendary song. What the heck happend? Sunch a good song with such an extraordinary performer and it ended up in 21st place! I just don't get it. Esp not since she was on 4th place in the semi.

But regardless of the result, it's still a winner. Sweden selected a song with style and class instead of something average and easily forgotten. Remember that sometimes you actually win when you seem to loose. Just hold your head high and feel proud when you cast the pearls before the swines.

Even though she's a swedish contestant does not mean that she's obliged to sing in swedish. Although some people from Sweden would appreciate it, they need to make a good impression on other parts of Europe aswell.
