I still dont like this version of Spirits in the Material World. I'm entitiled to my opinion. No one is going to change my mind on that. I like when the Police play it better they were wit this song from its inception and truly know it best. Not sure why others are so bothered by my opinion. Face it in life we don't all agree and that's ok.

I don't like how Sting's playing the bass here he usually would use his fingers and not the pick. Also the bass would be a lot more prevalent on this song. Some stuff just needs Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers for it to sound great.

pick actually sounds awesome for some police riffs particularly on this p-bass.

@jerseyjamrock Sting used pick all throughout the Police years... and only switched to fingerstyle later on. Enough already about the pick vs. fingers ... It is such a tired cliche comment. pick vs. fingers are just two different technical styles of playing -- yielding a different sound. Police material more often that not is better played with a pick AND on a fretless.
