Class of '04 here (attended JIS all the way through from second grade). Man, I remember when you could walk off campus easy as you please, and how enviously I watched the seniors do it thinking one day I would be able to do so myself, and the only thing resembling security were a couple of jagas and the gate. It's pretty crazy to see how much JIS has changed in the five years since I left. Nice to see ol' Cilandak though.

i miss JIS! i graduated in 2005 but started in 1997, so pretty much the most volatile period to be there. they started beefing up security after they found out (via the US embassy) JIS was on a list of possible targets from JI, the group responsible for the bali bombing. it's an amazing school though.

This is now my 11th year at JIS and it has changed a lot since I was in Prep Junior. They've added a ton of security, you used to be able to just walk in without needing an ID or going through a billion gates or getting your car checked. It's a really good school though

I went to JIS from 1986-89!

the things I reconize are: the blue bird buses, the rooftops, and the green bars

and grey cement seating areas!

i'm sure most of my teachers are retired

I remember Ms Smart (MS english) and Mr Latham (science? or was he math?) and Ms Archer "beaker" lady from the science lab!

Do they still sell "cha-chas" chocolates at the canteen..those were the best!

My bro went there for those summer activities in JIS 2 years ago.. I didn't, but I managed to see the entrance and so on.. The security seems exaggerating, compared to normal International Schools.. Maybe cuz the school is huge,

I'm going to an International School in Amsterdam, and to compare both of them, JIS has better security system and is bigger in size
