Baldwin makes a great point in this video. I disagree with him on a lot of issues (immigration, health care, environment, gun control, etc.), but he is absolutely right about the two party system.
One thing I would add: not only could McCain not have won in 2008, but Obama could not have lost. Therefore, liberal populists should ALSO have felt free to vote for 3rd-party candidates, because Obama didn't need their votes

Most of them wrote in Ron Paul and only two states counted it. And Ron won 3rd place in both of those states. People went with lesser of two evils during that election and the peace candidate always wins, so Obama won with the 16 month withdraw in Iraq tag line bit. Trust me, its not over by a long shot. A vote for Baldwin is a vote for a lesser of two lessers. If every single one of his supporters vote Baldwin he still wont win. Even if he DID have a chance his republican like policies (more right wing than McCain's) make him a terrible candidate. He's a wasted vote because not only is he not going to win, but you'll be taking away votes that McCain desperately needs. So you wont get ANY of the right wing policies you'd like. I'll be voting Obama which IS voting in line with my concscience.
