I get your point Seth. It's not about the actor, it's about how people make such a fuss because it's an actor. Let me try to explain why this is.
Hundreds of people you don't know die every day and their passing goes by without notice. The fact is in their own little world people do know celebrities. Their music or movies touched them in some way... that's the difference. People feel sad when someone dies they know, even if it's only on a superficial level.
