Make American citizens go to school so you can stop illegal from taking jobs. American Citizens need to get educated and go to college. Illegals are on the sidelines waiting to be given the chance and yet kids born here take it for granted.
Christina, what a wonderful video! It's a much needed "call to action" to revitalizing our public education system. The United States has a failing education system, and President Bush's " No Child Left Behind" is a failing educational policy. It's time for change and the time is now! Our young people deserve better.
Great video Christina, is about time that we address this pertinent issue that plagues the black community and the coutry as a whole. It will take prayer and a serious investigation into the low graduation rates to fix the problem. You are taking a step forward in the right direction.
Call your representative on the local (school district), State or National level. Current policies, such as the legal drop-out age of 16 in most states, can be changed to promote higher graduation rates.
In addition, everyone can take part by mentoring a young person who might not have motivation or inspiration from home
I am so glad that someone cared enough for our children to post this video. I grew up in a less than desirable environment and my mother worked three jobs to make sure that we had enough food to eat. Children are a gift from God regardless of their economic status. Mr. President, I hope that you are watching this video!
Great video! What can I do as a college student? I want to help but am a freshman in college myself...I know how hard it was for me to get up a go to a high school where it felt like no one cared (including the teachers)...Sometimes I dont think people really know how hard it is in today's society...George "waiting on the world to change"
This video is both accurate and insightful! We live in a heterogeneous society that encourages young people to succeed. However, due to the lack of funding for education our children are "left behind." We elected these officials so now it's time to call them on it!!!!!!!!!!
Does it fester like a raisin in the sun? OR does it explode?
