  • Eddie and Crystal hit #7 in Billboard, 3-12-83. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Eddie!

  • I agree with everything that has been said a million times before, this song is simply beautiful and Eddie is thoroughly missed every day, I wish he could still bless us with his songs. By the way, what does Eddie say after "Could we start that again" ? The piano and the relatively poor quality of the audio kind of hinder my comprehension I guess. Thanks.

  • He was a very good man also! Good singer!

  • EDDIE RABBIT IS BETTER THAN THIS..........

HE SHOULDN'T BE SINGING WITH THAT FUCKING LONG HAIRED SLUT COCKSUCKER. MAKES ME SICK!!

FUCK CRYSTAL GAYLE, WHAT KIND OF NAME IS THAT

    GET INTO AN OVEN

  • drunk ass on tv. NICE

  • pity the keyboard player thought he was the star of the show so f******g loud

  • This is one of those songs you'll never forget.

  • Crystal had more talent, voice, and charisma than ANY female singer in th history of American music (country, pop, etc). Too bad anuses prefered the Madonna's and Gaga's of the world. Perfect!

  • wernt they married when they did this song

  • @TheRobert2254 Yes, but not to each other.

  • Some Eddy trivia: Raised in New Jersey, went to Nashville as a songwriter in late'60s, began recording after writing Kentucky Rain for Elvis in'70 & Pure Love for Ronnie Milsap in'74. Later in'70s, helped crossover sound of country prevalent in'80s. Put his career on hold after the death of his infant son in '85, but returned in the late '80s w/a series of country hits incl. "The Wanderer" & "On Second Thought." Found lung cancer in '97; but still recorded. Died in '98. Long live Eddy.

  • very lovely.....

  • wow.....i think of jeanette when i hear this song.....i luv u, babe.....anthony....

  • I'd have to say that this is one of the greatest duets I've ever heard, I mean "The Driver" (Eddie Rabbitt), and "Miss Brown Eyes" (Crystal Gayle), together on one song! In closing, I'd like to say RIP to Eddie, and thanks Crystal for letting Raul Malo sing this song with you at that concert.

  • I really like and respect Eddie for stopping the piano player to correct or hit that one note. You know he can hit it, just that it faltered, allowing that flaw or error to exist as part of the performance is a sign of a real singer and musician.

  • AWESOME r.i.p eddie thans susan

  • The amazing Crystal Gayle will be performing in concert on Saturday July 10, 2010 at The Watseka Theatre Watseka IL.

Funny how Eddie starts singing in the wrong key and starts over.

  • Wow, I remember this song being sung a my wedding to my childhood sweetheart on 8/05/83, my 24th birthday. There wasn't anything I would not have done for her. However, after 12 years of dating, 2 children and almost 20 years of marriage, she decided she wanted to play the field again. She got her divorce and I got my broken heart. If it's true you only love like that once in your life, I guess I'm not due another. She's on her 4th marriage and I'm still alone. I guess that's what life offers.

  • Greg, married my teen sweetheart 6/29/85 just 5 days after my 25th b-day. I adored her. 5 years of dating, 17 years of marraige and 2 kids later she left. Absolutely,. love like that rarely happens twice This was our song, our first dance. Its been 7 years, still feels like yesterday. Time moves on but the heart doesn't. Still alone today and listen to this song 2-3 times a week. At least the great memories will last forever. Good luck

  • nice recovery. Maybe he rehearsed it at a lower key and forgot to switch back for the live eprformance but he recovered

  • Maybe, Not that upstairs really...Love this song. sang it solo at my Daughters wedding many moons ago. Gonna bust a duet on MySpaceKaraoke with another singer soon and wanted to go the source for harmonie and melody..

  • aw.. :) this was my parents wedding song tht they danced to...so cute!

  • RIP Eddie we miss you and love the songs you left behind

  • @atp1962 he died???!!! I missed that one. I guess I was to hung up on Buck Owens leaving us.

  • i remember growing up to crystal's voice its so beautiful i love it
