a few things, working out helps you lose weight because muscle helps burn off fat, also, muscle weighs more then fat so you should not weigh yourself, but measure yourself. Also, "skinny September" kind of gives the wrong message, skinny is not always a good thing. "In shape September" sounds like a better goal.
