  • wow, Moody Blues still ROCK. This video is only a few years old too. Awesome!

  • Justin Hayward, I always add you and your family along with John Lodge, Graeme Edge and the rest of The Moody Blues in my prayers everyday. To keep all of you protected and healthy and to keep you around for as long as possible, The Moody Blues means soo much to me, I have been following you for 3 1/2 decades and your still my favorite band, and I don't wan't to lose you now. My only last wish it to meet you one day just even once, along with John Lodge, and Graeme Edge. Your Wildest Fan J.M

  • "it s no point trying to make Justin Hayward leap about on stage...when Justin gets worked up he taps his foot" - Graeme Edge to a journalist in 1973. cute. a class act for over 45 years.

  • I hope these young men keep at it because this band has potential and someday might cut a hit record and be famous

  • Love it!

  • Still sounding frigging great - keep goinng boys, keep going :-))))

  • i am not the biggest fan of the moody blues, but this song is 5 stars!!!!!!!!

  • Love the guitar on this.

  • I'm sure everyone thinks their music is the best, but dang this is great stuff. I'm glad I came of age in the 70's!

  • c'mon John! don t clap your hands, please, keep your hands on that awesome bassline that only you can do! fantastic rendition of Question!

  • see you guys tomorrow night...14-11-11..perth western australia

  • These guys launced what would be a very successful musical career for me..I'm 42 now..But I can remember hearing this "Bass Riff" by John when I was a kid..I had to know what was making that cool sound in mom & dads' car back in 74-75...

When I learned it was a Bass guitar..The rest has been history..

    -Bassist for Shania Twain-

  • Class. Something that is missing from 99.9% of today's acts.

  • AMAZING!

  • what a great song and performance !!!

  • At the end of the song, the girl in the black dress reminds me of a movie actress, could I be right? Does anyone reorganize her?

  • @stinger139 I have been wondering that too. Did anyone have an answer? Who is she?

  • @stinger139 reorganize her ? she needs no reorganising at all mate !

  • loving it

  • Oct 14th - happy 65th birthday mr justin hayward!

Glad i ve been part of this fantastic journey over 45 years.

You guys are still the class act of rock n' roll. Thanks and God bless you.

  • I just saw them live last night in Victoria BC - they were fantastic and the crowd loved every minute. Question was my favourite

  • does he mean the drugs we did?

  • yes it s an awesome performance of justin s with the twelve.string ...

    Class!

  • ...Ummm..Justin...when you've finished with that gorgeous Guild F-50 twelve-string...can I have it, please?

  • THE GREATEST , CAN'T SAY ENOUGH .

  • I saw the MB's at Ceasars Windsor....fantastic guys...love you all! Music was fantastic. And you all still look GREAT!

  • Just caught the Blues performing this live in Halifax, NS on Sept 15/11. It was a fantastic concert!

  • @iandaykin They are extraordinary! We also just saw them live at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine on September 13/2011. This song is fantastic! It was the first time I ever saw them live and I would love to see them again!

  • Classic!

  • Why have this band never had the same recognition that the rolling stones and the beetles had? they are just as good and have lasted as long?

  • I LOVE this song!!!!

  • I have seen them live twice. Love them!

  • ..the hero like Marieh Carey in her video!..I Am Music! saying! 3:08

  • ..(I suffer him in report)..The Moody Blues and The First Royal Family of Man!

  • class act....doesn't get much better than this...

  • does that blonde singing at around 4:00 look familiar? i swear i have seen her before somewhere

  • The first real orchestral/rock blanded excepted band on earth....and the best ....strings that swing ...ala "Moody Blues" the way !

  • I saw them at the embaasy last year

  • Justin had two songs both in the Key of C that he could not complete. One was an anti Viet Nam War song and the other was a tender love song. He put them together...hence "Question" was born.

  • It still amazes me that the Moody Blues can play venues such as this one, yet they'll still play in small, obscure locations as well. I saw them play here in May, 2011 in a casino about 25 miles west of town surrounded by nothing but pastureland. They sounded absolutely fantastic. One of Justin's strings came unspooled toward the end, but he pulled out a bunch of slack to get it out of the way and carried on. Hope they come back this way soon!

  • They've always be nvery philosophical and toughtfull in their lyrics, always in search of..Real men are walking to expect. No spies who invent what is not on other walkers back...for secret reasons...with the result the power to walk is out of my body gone.

  • @kjallesoft wow, really? are you ok?

  • between the silence of the mountains and the crashing of the sea...

  • that's pretty fucking fast

  • faster than they wrote it

  • I can play that guitar...only faster

  • Comment removed

  • Proving that they can still do it!!!!!! Fantastic!!!

  • Ya baby just got tickets for the Toronto show in September! WHOOT

  • Thank you, Moody Blues! You were HOT when I saw you as a hippie and you are just as HOT or hotter NOW. I have a story too and IF you are still hoping for someone to change your life I bow to you. HERE. In front of ALL. NOW. Namaste.

  • PS: I escaped out of a CULT that I'd been In for 30 y e a r s (Scientology--don't ever join it, to anyone reading this) and they chased me (true story) across the country and the Tampa Police and 3 friends got me OUT. Music helped me wake up--and the Moody Blues have changed my life, forever, more than once. Thank you ALL.

  • If you dont like what I write then go to hell. I can write what I want,.

Husky Maxx Your a fool. So dont tell people thay cant write what they and sooo many other people believe. Some just arnt strong enough to post it. So as you say, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. Your as brainless as you must look.

  • I've seen this group 3 times all in Peoria Illinois. One time with the Peoria Symphony orchestra. They were great every time. and I would go see them again if they ever came back. If they aren't in the Rock and roll Hall of Fame something sucks in Cleveland

  • I got to see them live in the summer of 2005 in Selma, Texas with my sis. Had the time of our lives, will forever love this group. =D

  • There is no "one who made you". You are the result of millions of years of evolution. You are the one who must change your life. You are the miracle.

  • @jhardy133

Yes God made you through your parents. Havent you read the bible. If you believe you came from a result of lillions of years ago, ( a result of what) you dont even have any solid thing to go by. Im sure you havent read the book of truth. Thats the bible. If you did, You would see how everything that it states has happened, is happening and will happen, and where you cam from, they you would come to the conclusion, that your made from God throught your parents. Try it.

  • @calivita77 Stop the stupid bible talk please. MOST of us don't want to hear it. It's nonsense made up by people who rode camels to explain what the human brain can't comprehend. THAT is how MANY of us feel, so shut up and do your bible study sessions with those who believe you.

You can make the human brain believe ANYTHING with careful and cunning writing, and get your brain to the point where it thinks it is hearing voices (or Jesus).

So please, think what you want, but keep it to yourself.

  • So, that's what happened to the "Puffy Shirt"! Justin's got 'em!

Seriously. I love that song, and Justin and the gang. First saw the Moodies wih Mike back in 1969 for my 15th birthday. I'll never forget.

  • 4:00...Wow the cute blonde was REALLY into it!

  • they dont need the rock and roll hall of fame

  • Why debate? Surely this is utter perfection?

  • @MoodyGirl67 theyre in MY Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!!!! They always have been!!! Nothing else matters!

  • Moody Blues <3

  • What a group. Just too good.

  • Just got to enjoy them (minus THOMAS & PINDER) in Vegas. I missed those two, but what a great show. Moodies, you're rock legends.

  • I'd love to be up there with them... as long as I wasn't Justin's guitar!

  • speaks to me. A reminder to "question" intentions. "For" me of course. But what do I really want? And by what means? Maybe I've been knocking on a door which I imagined and doesn't actually exist. Maybe.

  • RUSH isnt even in the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is a joke anyway. Aerosmith? Give me a break

  • hey man from- the main thing is- you found them....

  • Shame on me for not getting into the Moody Blues until my 40's. I am 45 now and have no idea why I turned away from them. Stupid me. I've been missing out and so, so much masterpieces of music. In any event, I've been enjoying thier music for the last 5 years and am highly anticipating and hoping for a tour here in Texas. "Question" is my right behind my favorite which is "The Voice" . Thanks for the post. Sheer ignorance as to why these geniuses are not in the RRHOF. It's an outrage!

  • They are just the very best.

  • Are the Moody Blues anything less because they're not in the Hall of Fame? <----- @PiratesReport - Maybe it's a GOOD thing that they're not? They transcend any sort of classification. They are truly one of the best bands to ever grace this planet. Besides, isn't Cleveland a rather trailer-trash sort of city in which to put these guys? :) The should be given the Presidential Medal of Freedom and be knighted by the queen and only play in classy venues such as this.

  • HOF is respect,we have already given them by listening

  • Wow

  • I saw these cats at the San Diego Sports Arena in summer 1972, and it was the most righteous straight-ahead road band that brought the total package of the Moody Blues recordings to "us", the thousands of sun-dried hippie-era san Diegans. (Oh, yeah, some person began passing around a certain hand-rolled cigarette, that seemed to have been soaked in hash-oil,and I have reason to suspect that some of us smokers of the cannabis with enhancement, had a special outlook to go along with the show.

  • @elmerhdga

I love the moody@s<which is why i can never forgive christopher guest for outing them as the inspiration behind spinal tap!

  • It was Saxon!

  • If I could pick a fav moody song, this would be it!!!! One of their very best of all times in my honest opinion. This song is what hooked me on their music!!!!!

  • Damn, they still got it!

  • JOHN LODGE, You Rock! (Bass)

  • Saw these guys 3 times in Montreal. Awesome shows and best of all Awesome feeling they give you. Truly what music is supposed to do.

  • @cloudjia RAY IS VERY SICK AND IS WAITING FOR A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT ooops sorry about caps and he is an unbelievable talent that was never given the credit he should have gotten

  • In a league all by themselves.

  • This band touched mine & so many lives, young and old around the world through out their musical journey. The words to all the song they performed had more depth than any other bands I've ever heard.

  • the guitar is in open C tuning

  • Genius ....

  • Question was written as a Vietnam War protest song. The music came first, then the idea for the words. I just came back from Vietnam when I first heard the song and knew what he was singing about before I heard his explanation. To me, the intro alone, with the 12 string guitar in open G tuning, is an all time R&R classic that surpasses what most HOF bands have EVER played.

  • @joep3300 I was in the 28 Inf div 1969 I heard this over A F Radio I wasn't to sure what to make of it. I jst know i like it... Welcom home

  • @brad04970 Thank you for your service!

  • @joep3300 i heard it in nam as well and i think the fact they aren't in the rock and roll hall of fame is a disgrace and i bet you and i are amongst the very few who understood this was an anti war song thanks

LUIETENANT GENERAL DENNIS COLLINS USMC RET.

  • @TheMrtimmy28

    Thank you for your service!

  • @7sabot 7 sabot thank you kindly i just wondered you must have served to use the name sabot, which is a purely weaponry term did you know its origination??? in the netherlands sabot (pronounce saybo) was they word for wooden clogs which anti nazis workers would throw into the gears of forced labor factories into tank treads to knock the gears out of whack or put usally half tracks off the wheels .hence the term sabotage my services was all i wanted to do ooohrah semper fi

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMrtimmy28 I served in the US Army as a tank gunner ,served in Iraq for 3 years. You're welcome . A "Sabot" is one of several rounds or munitions that the M1 Abrams utilizes. I beleive the word is French for "Shoe"

However I feel Viet Nam Veterans, Korean War Vets & WW2 Vets deserve more respect than any of us.

    ~Regards~

  • @7sabot every soldier deserves respect- i know what a sabot is- i was just pointing out the origination of the term in warfare and it might have been french word buy was used in belgium to screw up the works, hence as i said SABOTage . when i came back from viet nam i was the only time soldiers came home to hatred. but i just let it roll off my back. fucking loser asshole hippies so i hope you're doing well and found work and OOOOHHRAH SEMPER FI

  • @TheMrtimmy28 You too as well sir.

    Semper Fidelis!

  • Favourite song, love the words with a passion.

  • 3 people need to be asked a question...

  • They're too good for that politically/personally motivated place.

  • If you have children...play this video...point to the screen and just say...class.

  • @dave11222 Excellent suggestion, Dave! :)

  • Caught then in 1991 with Chicago. The fact that both of these awesome bands are not in the Rock Hall makes the Rock Hall a joke.

  • Justin Hayward just doesn't get any older!

  • Cleveland? Is that Yorkshire or Lancashire?

  • Compare some of the artists (?) who are in the hall & it becomes obvious that it's about personal likes & dislikes. I have been a fan for 40 years and still can't enough. But I miss Ray Thomas.

  • I saw this band live when I was 9. Am 46 now. The concert was fantastic.

  • this song kick a55 they are coming to minnesota soon cant wait

  • great song it makes you stop think about life in general ty to who posted this

  • Great song! I'm going to their concert in April and I just bought their new calendar! Any fans should check it out at their website called moodybluestoday!

  • no one can beat that

  • ....Rock On....Moodys.....

  • Love this group, 21 years old and i grew up with their music, they are genius'. Better than most music out today! Seen them live about 4/5 times and they havent lost their talent. Keep going MB!

  • i found somebody who changed my life,, yes i've found the pearl of great price.... if you are still searchin' YAHUWSHUWA ha mashiach is the answer.....love this song

  • Actually,it should really be called Music Hall of Fame,as all genres have their place.I am not a fan of punk, rap, new country and pop from the last decade. That being said,if popularity, sales, technical ability and live performances dictate an individual or groups "greatness",then they should be members, whatever their style of music.BTW-rock is a derivative of blues, country and even gospel.Like America itself,it SHOULD be all inclusive...

  • Are the Moody Blues anything less because they're not in the Hall of Fame?

I mean, the place is in Cleveland, for godsakes.

  • @PiratesReport HEY NOW.....Cleveland was once a GREAT city, destroyed now by political corruption, like Detroit and a lot of other places. It's not Cleveland's fault that the 'Cock Hall' is such a lame,Mickey Mouse outfit...is it???

  • @PiratesReport I'm glad they are NOT in the HOF. It has become a joke. Just read recent arrivals and you will agree.

  • @PiratesReport Great point...not to mention....how many people are getting top honors in the political arena whom are assholes.

  • ..The Driver of A Dream and The Hall of Fame?....what would be the question and the possible answer!...that it suffers us and the Lord above to Want. a woman from his one and only planet earth?..'it would be impossible!..but to Save Everyone!..and "All Women!"...way cool! 'The Moody Blues!

  • Ha, 6 string or 12 string...greatness is greatness! The Blues are the best!

  • Great tune ... crazilly fast. Some of the strangest left hand techinique on a Bass Guitar I've ever seen ... effective but goofy

  • Great tune ... crazyly fast. Some of the strangest left hand techinique on a Bass Guitar I've ever seen ... effective but goofy

  • It is the R&R Hall of Shame for not having Moody Blues as members!..What the.....?

  • @1nobogey there are a lot of great "ROCK" bands that have been ignored by the rrhof. they should be ashamed to even have that name. Some of the best bands have never been mentioned or brought up for voting, and i believe that some that have been voted in should not be in there. it is ROCK not rap or pop or country... IT'S ROCK!!!! sorry my soap box..

  • ....Rock On .....Moodys.....

  • They should have been one of the original members of the rock and roll hall of fame. Instead they haven't even been nominated. Where is the logic in that?

  • @dtennow because the RRHF are idiots.

    //dan

  • I remember when you were having a bad trip the Blues would solve the problem what an INCREDIBLE Band

  • this song is EPIC

  • Who are the blonde and the guy in the front that the camera keeps showing?

  • If i had a Trillion dollars i would want the Moodies to have it....thats how much i love them!

  • They are so freakin' amazing! <3 The Moodys <3

  • Great post! Moodys.....Royal Albert Hall ! It doesn't get much better that this! They toured the US last summer & I saw them at an open air venue called Ravinia in the Chicago suburbs. I ponied up the extra money to sit it the pavilion. I'd seen approx 30 other rock groups in concert (Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Animals, Yardbirds, Clapton, Doobie Bros) , but none gave a better performance than these chaps. But them on your 'Bucket List'. Thnx, again!

  • @ChicagoNeilcon

Have you seen THE WHO? they were just jaw dropping.

  • I love this performance! One of my favorite Moody Blues songs of all time! I just love it!

Have watched this many times and posted it on my fan page for Justin and The Moody Blues, but this is the first time in a really long time I have told you how wonderful it is to see this! I love it!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so very much! This video soooooooo rocks!!!!!

Our Moodies should be in the R&R Hall Of Fame!!!!!!!!

But they are in my personal Hall Of Fame and forever will be!!!!!

    Long rock our Moodies!

  • This band is just incredible.. they are fantastic musicians. Man he plays a 12 sting guitar.. WOW.. I just love this band.

  • Comment removed

  • @pbabbat No condescension intended but a 12 string is no different or more difficult to play than a 6 string. Strings are paired in 2's very close together, tuned to the same note (or an octave above) and pairs are played by one finger as if it were single. Big sound, a little rough on the hands but nothing else really gives you that jangle quite like a twelve string. Great band, I agree.

  • @bassmangotdbluz No, it not. That was my guitar of choice many years ago: Rickenbacker 12

  • bloody fantastic, they still freaken rock on... man just great..

  • AMEN

  • Very cool. Just saw it on Youtube. Thanks for posting !

  • Saw them in the 70's when I was studying Chem Eng in UK. I still like the music. It is hyper-nostalgic. It does bring tears. “And when you stop and think about it

    you won’t believe it’s true

that all the love you’ve been giving has all been meant for you."

  • I know we lost all the persons that were dear to us, many friends, they must all despite us now but me, I am still there, you didn't lose me and you never will ;-; I know we can make it if we really want to, together, we'll find the solution to our lives, it's our love that will keep us in life ♥

Why do we never get an answer

When we're knocking at the door?

Because the truth is hard to swallow

That's what the wall of love is for.

  • And if you could see what its done to me

To lose the the love I knew

    Could safely lead me to

The land that I once knew.

To learn as we grow old

    The secrets of our souls.

  • why does it keep stoping every few minns what causes this

  • >>>To Teresa Cooper~~ Keep Smiling

  • im looking someone to change my life after they win the lottery no broke ppl need apply

  • i live 2.09-3.40 mark its freakin great

  • Pretty PBS Pledge Drive.....but great.

  • what a great song can hear it over over ty posting it robo

  • Comment removed

  • fuckin fastest guitar ever

  • When I started doing drugs at 18 in 1968 The Moodys pulled me through it.

When was down in my life, the Moodys pulled me through it

And now I am 60. And the Moody blues still pull me to the music that brought me to this age

  • @mrwilson41 How right you are! Funny how their music never makes you "blue"

  • forever autumn

  • Keep Smiling~~~

  • beautiful music. love the lyrics!!!

  • "Between the silence of the mountains and the crashing of the sea, there lies a land I once lived in and she's waiting there for me..." There is no substitute for The Moodies!

  • Wish I could have seen these guys live. Missed out on a ton of great music

  • Many of those "systhemised people" would DO GOOD asking themselves the QUESTION : Am I really helping this perso nwhit my kind of answers ,my kind of way-of-working etc! The times that musicians sing about "a better world to come" is really over.

Make it REAL, here and now ... or go fishing.

  • KEEP SMILING

  • one of my moms favorites..I love it...thanks :) :) :)
