Another thing I point out is that Nobody is denying love between gay people. I have a family member who has been with this guy for over 30 yrs without ever getting married and they love each other alot. No what it comes down to is the rights, I support Gay unions where hopfully the same rights can be given to Gay's as with married people MINUS the title Marriage.

Yea its over, prop 8 was passed by popular demand, why cant you people settle for unions? You dont get the title of marriage but you get alot of the same rights, and both sides get some of what they want here without being greedy.

The four judges had the conviction to overturn it because they had NO CHOICE. Prop 22 was unconstitutional. It was in direct conflict with the equal protection clause. This is supposed to be a free country with freedom of religion, not YOUR religion imposed on everybody else. I don't get why this is so complicated to people. Of course it's wrong to take away civil rights from people. I'm sure prop 8 will be overturned eventually too. You can't do that in America.
We'll look back on Prop 8 passing as a great positive for the advancement of gay rights. As the protests across the Country today have demonstrated, people are catalyzed in mass. Once that starts you can't slow it down. Keep hitting the streets friends... we'll get there soon :)

So I guess a heterosexual relationship could be a fetish as well, going on a dictionary definition. Your idea of what a fetish is was made up by you, worded in order to make your comment somewhat legit to whoever will read it and actually believe you.

Don't matter what the official def is, all I need to know is that gay is a fetish that yields nothing. That and your trying to stick a sex act into law so it can be enforced. How about gays keep their sexuality to themselves, and not flaunt it out in the open like they do, if you can't have the common curtesey to keep your relationships private why should it be in law where they will shove it down peoples throats even more then they aleady do?

Fail more why don't you, if marrage equal sex then you should legalize marriage between animals as weel. Marriage is about starting families the traditional ways, and no matter how much you beg and scream, their fetish can't do that in and of itself. One, gay isn't in the constitution so it has no rights to take away. Two, you are trying to officially change the definition of marriage, wich by it's very nature in the law will cause a ripple effect through the legal system that you refuse to address. Three, gay is not a race, it's a lifestyle option and thus is governed by the choices you make, thus placing it under anti-discrimination laws is enforcing lifestyle option onto anyone, weither they want to be a part of it or not.

Wah wah wah. It passed, okay? You hold no right to be storming Mormon churches and telling them they didn't hold the right to redefine marriage. Guess what? We do hold that right, cuz if we didn't, why would we have voted? Prop 8 should never have been on the ballot, considering that 4,500,000 people in California already banned gay marriage in 2000, and four judges had the audacity to overturn that voice. Come on. The four judges had the conviction to overturn it because they had NO CHOICE. Prop 22 was unconstitutional. It was in direct conflict with the equal protection clause. This is supposed to be a free country with freedom of religion, not YOUR religion imposed on everybody else. I don't get why this is so complicated to people. Of course it's wrong to take away civil rights from people. I'm sure prop 8 will be overturned eventually too. You can't do that in America.

We'll look back on Prop 8 passing as a great positive for the advancement of gay rights. As the protests across the Country today have demonstrated, people are catalyzed in mass. Once that starts you can't slow it down. Keep hitting the streets friends... we'll get there soon :)
