  • Great, I didn't expect to find out this version on youtube, thanks for posting. Kermit Driscol bass, Bruno Castellucci drums, Denis Luxion piano, and I forget the name of the guitar player. Recorded in a little studio close to Liège, Belgium

  • sorry for the guitar player, for sure it's Bill Frisell. "how can I forget you"

  • this is amazing voice is so distinct

  • This is also on the album Almost Blue, which features a young Bill Frisell.

  • thumbs up if you're watchin' this because you love good music and that's it.

  • from which album isd this song?

  • @svolanski Chet Baker - Two a Day (Amazon MP3)

  • This isn’t sometimes, this is always. This isn’t maybe, this is always. This is love, The real beginning of forever, This isn’t just mid summer madness, A passing glow, a moment’s gladness, Yes it’s love. I knew it on the night we met, You tied a string around my heart, So how can I forget you. With every kiss I know that, This is always.

  • Chet was one of the few "modern" jazz musicians that appealed to everyone, whether you were a jazz buff or not. He was pure raw soul & genius, nothing less!

  • Goddamn I swear if I get my 3 wishes I'm going back to when this man played his trumpet in clubs. I'll just sit there in a smokey haze and sway..

  • @imjohnandyouare Yeah I hear you.. I played with Chet in Paris in 1964 and it was a gas, but the Italian fuzz was looking for him and he was going through a love break up.. Things always look better on the outside, but I would love to be in that club again (le Chat qui Peche, 5 ieme arrondissement, Paris)

  • this brings tears

  • this is taken from a LP with steve houben. awesome

  • Beautiful, thank you for sharing this!

  • RIP Chet! Wish I'd found his music before he passed...never heard anyone feel the music like he did and be able to convey it so passionately through both voice AND instrument! Check out his My Funny Valentine and hear him make that trumpet whisper to you!

  • love how his sound developed. a 'huskier' sound later in life.

  • a voice just like his trumpet!

  • this isnt maybe... this is always!

  • Man this is a crisp crisp crisp recording... man thats rare on youtube... thanks. Really.
