it didnt sound like it did on this vid in reality. so the people who think it sounded better with stock, apparently dont know that stock exhaust doesnt make noise. manufacturers make exhaust as quiet as possible cause not everyone like noise. idky. but yeah im sure the borla sounds better in real.

yea invidia is nice but the best i think is flow master nice lower rumble almost muscle car except close 7 grand then high pitched but yea expensive as hell im goin with speed daddy header down ppe and racing cat with a skunk 2 racing muffler muffler is nice pretty low but loud not high pitched loud but is illegal

Only reason stock sounds better, is because it's through a microphone. It sounds cleaner, but it's super quiet, and the borla can only put so much sound through the mic before it cuts off.... Don't pass anything off of audio XD

i own 2 of these cars a 2000 rs and a 2000 gt with a twin turbo set up and u cant put any american made exhaust parts on them or they sound ricey u need 2 go with foriegn made ripp mods based outta green islands ny specalizes in the eclipses

your not gonna find a aftermarket exhaust that has a lower pitch than borla.. it will sound way smoother with a cat. the only other way is to go custom.

@98catera Its personal preference on what who likes the most, but its your car and what you like is up to you. They both sound great, but to me, Sotck was better. Borla doesnt work well with Imports. Have you checked the Aero turbine exhaust?

well.. unless you have the cali spec gt None of the Exhuast and headers / intake combo. gives a large increase in hp.. mostly what kind of sound you want.. i did notice an increase in Gas mileage though.. for sound.. i like the lower aggressive growl of the borla.. some like the more higher pitch sound like from greddy or tanabe.For headers , Us gt v6 guys don't have much choice. it's either :Megan racing, OBX, RPW, RIPP. I am not sure if they are still making them..

wel.. any sort of headers will give it a louder raspier sound... but the borla cat back exhuast by itself is a great sound. with a respectable amount of hp gain. and on the 2000 you won't get much gain with headers anyways.

yea.. i really like it.. the  headers gives it a raspy sound kinda. i have megan racing headers.. so much cheaper than custom lol.. the only people i know of that make headers for the3g eclipse is cmf, rpw,ripp,i'm not sure if they are all still in business though.

i have a K&N full cai. but AEM cao has a air bypass valve option if you ever have to drive through deep water... but i don't plan on driving through water more than 9" deep so.. lol.

well.. you will get the most bang for your buck with both.. you need a more free flowing intake for your exhaust. you don't need to but it will be worth it.

thanks so much for posting this, there arn't that many borla clipse gt video's on here. it sounds a little raspy with the headers on it with the borla exhaust, imo. do you have any vids with just the cats and without the headers?

yea.. the headers do make it raspy. no i don't have any vids with the stock headers with cat. but it wasn't raspy at all and it is just a deeper throatier sound. a little louder than stock. When driving the car on full throttle the CAI almost is louder on higher rpms without the headers. now the exhaust is louder.. lol
