Obviously- there were hundreds of things that would have helped people in New Orleans after katrina, including human volunteers, blood donations, search and rescue teams. These are things haiti has the capability of providing- but none were.

To be a blood doner you have to have good health, many of them do not. Search and rescue teams are people who are trained and capable to do such tasks. I was in Haiti in 1999 with the Army. We provided security for humanitarian assistance missions. At that time some 65% of the population had T.B. or AIDS. They didn't know how to except help then, and I doubt they can now. The Haitian part of that island has been corrupted by greedy men beyond repair. There is a tide field outside port au prince that they call the killing fields. It was littered with human remains in 1999. I believe the earth has spoken. Wipe it clean and start over.

i see what your saying, and it makes sense. But, during times like this, or a situation such as katrina, money is not the only thing needed. Obviously- there were hundreds of things that would have helped people in New Orleans after katrina, including human volunteers, blood donations, search and rescue teams. These are things haiti has the capability of providing- but none were.

To be a blood doner you have to have good health, many of them do not. Search and rescue teams are people who are trained and capable to do such tasks. Have you seen Haiti and what their life is like. They need all the help they can get, and not just now. They've always needed a lot of help.

It appears that you watch too much TV with no critical analysis. The state of african countries is far much advanced compared to your opinion and so are their cities and lifestyle pick any city and google it eg Nairobi and you tell me if it looks like a jungle where people use spears.

For hundreds of years they were depopulated and colonized yet their countries in 40 years of independance, they have achieved what we did in 1800 years. Their economies, social amenities as well as political struggles are right similar to what Europe and North america were 200 years ago. give them time!

We gave them independance but controlled who rule them. If he doesn't obey the orders, we kill or exile him. If he does, his countrymen rise up against him and we privide him with arms to silence them and we say it's savages fighting themselves yet they are fighting our war. As they fight we loot their mineral ressources through our multinationals companies. By the time they stop fighting, they are poorer and we loan them money with huge interest. And we wonder why they are poor!

are you a fucking moron? Do you know who the hutu/tutsi's are? In the mid 90's, 1 million people in Rwanda were innocently murdered due to the tribe the are in- Hutu. There are more than 500 existing tribes in Africa as we speak. Most of the turmoil in Africa stems from the varying tribes over land/religion/politics. i rest my case. And are you also, actually saying that you are disputing the proven statistical fact that about 50% of the worlds diamonds come from africa? google it bitch

Africa doesnt benefit to the degree they could because there arent enough business minded people on that continent to generate a significant revenue stream for the most precious stone in existence. Of course they cannot. How can they when we gave them independance 40 yrs ago, we put inplace our agents. Those who were people oriented, we killed them for they were a threat to our interests. If we could stop meddling with their internal affair of if we do, we encourage fairness and accountable leadership but all we do is protect our interests and destroy anyone that s a threat. education and business spirit do not thrive in controlled and oppressive regimes that we always favor.

Its not even just that,its a result of ages of paternality and colonialisation.They were first opressed,then pressed into boundaries that are nothing but made up.The west always suported leaders they can work with, and now as they see that dictatorships are destabilizing they try to force everyone into democracy, while they still keep hold on the recources, protect their own markets and dump the Prices for Products from the Outside.
