As for skimming lakes rivers ect....we can do it over here quite legally.....but and there is always a but....we have a rule that you must never fly within 500ft of a person, vehicle, structure, ect.....so you would have to be very careful where you do it, and you would have to consider what would happen if your engine quit,

One of my videos shows me skimming the beach on the Wirral....down to 10ft at times.

always wondered about the low level flying because in the american microlight videos there always skimming lakes and rivers and beautiful countryside where as the british guys are always way up there.

but ive just had a kick up the backside so i might be there sooner than i planned

Hi Ian, I had one of the instructors in the back on that flight...Richard so if you do get to do some training at Ince you may fly with Richard,

Ok can you fly low level down the Mersey, well you need to get a clearance from ATC at Liverpool Airport on the VHF radio as the area we where flying is inside Liverpool Airports Control Zone,

But the air traffic controllers at Liverpool are very helpful and will oblige if they can traffic permitting,

Ince such fantastic place to fly from.
