In the bonus features of the Blade DVD under the La Magra title, an alternate ending can be seen where Blade, after dispatching Deacon Frost, walks out onto the rooftop of a building only to glimpse a figure whose identity is concealed behind a cloth mask. The film's writer David S. Goyer has stated that he originally intended Morbius to be the primary villain should there be a sequel to Blade.
This would have been a MUCH better way to start the TV series than what they did. All the REAL vampires are dead, but Blade still has a job to do because Morbius and his pseudo-vampires are on the rise.
@2wingo I hear that. Plus, Morbius is really, really under-used by Marvel. Heck, the whole subject of pseudo-vampires is one thing that Marvel should really address. I mean, we know Morbius's disease is contagious. Why not bring that up once in a while?
@DeadpoolxFlash I don't know. That looks like Morbius's 90s design. And the black banana around the mouth is a give-away to Morbius's seriously deformed face. And writer David Goyer said that Morbius was originally intended to be the next villain. That being said, you need Morbius in a Blade movie. The two of them just work too well together! And I really love Morbius as a character...
i heard that in the comic books morbius bit blade making him like even more super vampire day walker stuff so i wouldnt like morbius to be a sequel because to me i dont want them to undermine blade and say he was weak b4 morbius bit him
Wow it really amazes me how much I know about comic books ... guys, Morbius isn't technically a bad guy he is kinda like ghost rider ... in a way. He only kills bad guys and he isn't what you would truly call a vampire in the sense that he made him self this way through a lab accident using chemicals to find a cure for a disease. and besides blade, hannibal, ghost rider (danny ketch version), johnny blaze and a few others team up in the comics in the Rise of the Midnight sons mini series.
The film's writer David S. Goyer has stated that he originally intended Morbius to be the primary villain should there be a sequel to Blade. This was eventually scrapped in favor of the Reaper storyline in the actual Blade II film.
Well, Snipes said in a recent interview that he and Goyer were still interested in doing a 4th Blade movie. It depends on whether or not they can work things out like they want them.
not true blade the series contiued the movies stories the virus didn't spread far enough so while true born vampires are dead normal ones are still alive.
Me, I figured that it was Whistler on the rooftop. Because, in the sequel he comes back as a vampire, but only for a few minutes, then he is human again. Because during the archive scene in movie 1, where blade meets Frost's gang, then whistler saves him, he is wearing a Trench coat like that. Remember? Then he never commited suicide, he was changed into a vampire. So i figured this is the scene where they show how Blade is on a mission to go find whistler, as it states in movie two. My opinion.
yea but david goyer the guy who wrote the movie has stated that it was meant to be morbius and that morbius was gonna be the main enemy if they ever made a sequel but that idea was thrown out and the reaper arc was decided on instead... which is stupid, the morbius arc would have been way better
uhh...Whistler could have bundled up? xD And good lord we got this stuff settled already. I now know its not whistler. I just saw that he had a coat like Whistler's, and then remembered that Blade had to go find him in movie two. You have to admit it would have been good. Blade seeing this weird dude and knowing, "Thats whistler...he's a vamp now." Then thats where it leads into movie two. Him tracking the guy down.

It was but the director of the second blade decided to go the Reaper story line route other than this. I personally would have wanted it to be for Blade 2 as well.
Can't they just make a Morbius movie all ready? I think it would be really weird for him to be in Spider-Man 4. Yes, I know he was in the Spider-Man comic series, but most people who don't know anything about Morbius would just be confused about having a vampire in a non horror movie.
spiderman 4's gonna be the doc connors lizard-man arc but the film studio said in 2007 that theyre working on making a venom spin-off movie so hopefully that will be good
Took them forever. I hope it's better than the last one. But I still wish they would make a Morbius movie. It wouldn't have to make sense, just give him an ugly goatee and hair that hasn't been washed for thirty years and I'll be happy.
@abSOULuteD Yeah. It makes sense with the next one's plot, being that they started genetically engineering vampires. But they switched it to Kovac, and it leaned heavily on a story about Bloodstorm, a clone of Dracula.
Drake was a member of Nightstalkers, a human with vampiric lineage, and he created tech to kill vampires, which Trinity took from, but they ended with screwing up Marvel's interpretation of Dracula. Sucky. Not god-awful, but sucky 3rd one.
@BlueMaxx86 damn shame how hollywood has to use "creative freedom" it's basically saying "Fuck you we're doing it our way." If any of my ideas were ever turned into a movie.. i'll tell them "It's either my way or no way."
@abSOULuteD Makes you wonder why they'd change good ideas into cliches. Let the story's play out. Understand not doing the story exactly the same, but you can add characterization, plot elements, etc. around a story's main structure.
Also, I'm an idiot. I meant to type Nomak, not Kovac. :P
Have to give it to the Blade series. It was, imo, the catalyst for the comic movie craze. Pushed Marvel to make their better known characters, & then the rest of the publishers followed Marvel's example.
i think i know why Morbius didn't be the villian he got his ass kicked by blade after this ending..

Morbius should have been the villain in Blade Trinity instead of the crappy "Drake". Oh well....maybe in Blade 4 when Snipes gets out of the slammer.
