Its not just guns either, there are regular stabbings,assults and robberies in the Greater Manchester area(even stockport). Its not a joke mate peoples lives are made a misery from crime in urban areas. No one wants to live in the messed up areas of Detroit or w/e, but i doubt you have any experience of old trafford,moss side,cheetam hill or their counterparts in other cities.

Everyone has to play a part if solutions are to be found. It's all very well these people sitting down to talk with the 'yoof' but until there's money on the table its just talk. Then we have the problem of peer presssure for these lads, it's so easy for them to lose faith and go the wrong way it's crucial they get proper guidance and at the moment it's hard to see where that will come from, the parents would be a start. I would add it's not a black problem it's society wide.

Actually, you're thinking of America. There were very very few black lsaves in Britain, most were sold to Americans. Most black families in Britain emigrated here after WW2. They were offered jobs because most of the workers at the time died in the war. Black people wern't BROUGHT to Britain, they MOVED here, same as every other ethnic minority that for some reason think we owe them.
