karate and tkd are basiccaly just arts. There good for diciplining the mind, body, soul. they give little realistic self defense. They also don't help when the fight goes to the ground. I'll tell you a true story. Theres a local master that has one medals and many tourny's. he's a jail guard aswell. An inmate beat the tar out of him and another guard during an escort. jUst one inmate. don't let it blind you.

Until I've seen this video, I didn't know who is Sensei Lavorato, but that technique is absolutely necessary to know in karate, and I can assure you is possible.

@Hotora86 It's a used technique in Heian Sandan kata. I use it some times to wander the opponent's guard, followed by a back fist(?) punch.
