the worst brake system I ever came upon was in a 1992 acura integra. This and many of the other honda models in that range of years say from 80s to mid 90's are prone to having their master cylinder give out. Once this happens your brakes dont stop normal at all. The only way to stop a car with such a problem is to pump the brake pedal and this is to just barely stop the car. I had this happen to me and I went skidding far from a low speed stop. Scary. Subaru makes better braking systems!
WELL WELL we all know that subaru 4 cylinder engines are very problematic and under engineered seach in youtube for subaru engine piston slap, failing engine oil pump , and the transmission are really rubbish in shifting accompanied with jerks and harsh shifts, why as FHI for 20 years used old trannies and even now new CVT trannies are not good, turbo engines from subaru are constant problem , oil croc engine, otherwise car is very good

ohh yes the braking system is also under engineered you need to press break pedal twice to properly stop the car
