@angelosass Kid Pistol and Noraa Ish are tearing it up all over the NorthWest! Love, Fear & Loathing is their most popular vid but they have many more beats.
Word Bob,there will never be another, got the tapes laying around somewhere,i remember moving the stereo every week, the antenna, sometimes you can hear a little static but it was raw, went to the little store you had,got the sleepy man recording the show tshirt! Can keep on,did anyone find out who started saying "Word"??? Peace,be safe and thanks for the best years!

I just got into radio myself - Eventually I am going to get my own station and get the people back involved - I want to bring radio back to when it was fun - Call in Freestyles, features artists directly from the people - I am working my ass off right now to make that possible!!
@XTRABIG - I actually have it started now - I have 1-2 hr long shows 3-5 times a week streamed online - I feature Up and Coming artists weekly, and I just started doing call-in freestyles every Thursday via Skype - I have links on my channel to contact me - Let me know your ideas!! - Id like this to grow bigger
They's dudes knew what Real Hip Hop was...I mean they played rare cuts/B-sides/Remixes/Etc. I mean they knew the essence of true Hip-Hop....Best Radio show EVER
Goose Bumps!!!! I used to listen to the show faithfully every Thurs nite. ...and go to school the next day to let kids know what they missed. Still have some of my tapes. Like it has been said..if u didnt expirience this show in nyc or jersey during the early 90's...u missed out greatly. this show had me hooked!
Yo I'll neva will forget 89.9, grew in high school listenin to underground radio faithfully along wit VIDEO MUSIC BOX, ALL MY OLD SKOOL NY HEADZ KNOW WHAT IT IS! THIS IS APART OF HIP HOP HISTORY.. BX ALL DAY!!
WHAT THE HELL? how do you only mention Big L in a quick scan through of featured artist near the end of the viedo... listen to his 98 freestyle its the best broadcast the ever aired.
I'm from England. I used to get my friends to import tapes of your show to the UK. Sometimes you guys used to chat shit for hours upon hours. Nevertheless, I used to import that shit because it was fucking hilarious!!! Big part of Hip Hop!!! Bless - hope Stretch and the crew are eating healthy and living the life - 1
Bob - If you're around and see this... I'm sittin' here... 34 years old... noddin' my head to Mobb Deeps demo playing on your Reunion show. I really can't express the feeling of elation that this is giving me. Hands down the best Hip Hop show... ever. Period. I miss it DEARLY.
Thanx for the great music, corny jokes and laughs over the years bruddah!

got at least 100 cassette tapes worth of material from these classic shows, stayin up mad late to catch the underground exclusives kiddddddd..........
A-Tone DA BUCHA from Jersey City!?!?WHATS GOOD??? ..he was a top 5 freestyler on the show @ one point (behind Craig G , Nas , Black Thoughts , King Sun) it was in the Rap Pages mag ... show that man some love! Many artist got they style from Bucha .. Bobbito & Stretch can co-sign ... for example: LITTLE GUN & BIG TROUBLE - instant classics!!! 201 stand up ... R.I.P Tito "SCREW' Montanez .. this is where it all started .. XCZ .. Double Barrel ... Gun Massive ... Block Royal .. we miss you Screw!
i would have 2 90 min tapes, 1 am hit record get hi and fall back, flip the tape hit record, then get the other tape repeat, go to school the next day with the ill tapes and i be sleeping in class
Just that little clip gave me the chills - that shit took me BACK! That was a good sample of the whole raw vibe of the Golden Era. That GENUINE shit!!!! damn i miss them days...
Yo Bobby it's dat dude from da brix dat used to run wit da artifacts aka dats dem yoi definately still listen to my old ass cassette tapes dat are are still together!!!
I used to stay up all night to catch this show. I remember falling to sleep with my tape deck on record and listening to what i miss the next day in school.
In the '80s, I used to go visit my fam in NY and be up all night taping KiSS and WBLS at my grandma's house. Then I'd bring that shit back home to Maryland and had nigg*s like "DAAAAAAMN"! In the early '90's I'd be bringin Stretch and Bob tapes back to my dorm and have the whole hall BUMPIN! LoL
fuk man i used to stay up till 3:30 - 4 am taping this show. wake up at 7am to go to school, then go to work after school till 10pm crazy tired but it was worth it!
Man those were the days. I think once Bobbito's left the show everything went down hill for hip hop in NY.... Bob would give UNKNOWN emcees a chance and played a lot of demos. He'd also have up and coming rappers go up there like Cam'ron, Nas, Big L and spit on the mic.... I think if Bob stayed around longer NYC hip hop would of still been on top. We need Bob back or a CLONE of him to save us!!!!!!
yo i still got some tapes, scared to play the tape, it mite get eating, yo i lost a lot of sleep, went to school Friday, tired as fuck in the back with the head down sleeping
yo, i'm in the same train as you...used to stay up mad early just to tape the show.....i also used to tape New York Live on 89.1 FM with Mayhem....shit, those were the years...

ya'll just dont know. every thursday night I got 5 tapes ready and just recorded this entire show. it was the epicenter of hip hop. if you never got a chance to hear this show you truely dont know what you missed. 1am to 5 am they played shit that didnt come out for years. yes years. plus they played shit you never heard and never will hear. god bless stretch and bobbito. lord seer used to diss the shit out of the callers. columbia university radio. i listened religously. mad props due!!!

Looove this footy. Stretch and Bobbito kept NYC radio real when the pop R&B stations were hardly giving pittance time to hip hop. Propers Bobbito! My cassette tapes of your old shows wore out too long ago. Miss them greatly! Thanks for posting this and keeping history alive.
i saw Kurius Jorge in there with L.O.N.S. for a second, i bought his Cd Constipated Monkey and was very impressed for just buying it on a whim, some crazy beats and pretty good lyrics on there
shit, i was jus listenin to a freestyle with Absolut,Black Thought,Common, PHaraohe Monch, damn classic. Stretch and Bito need to clean these polluted airwaves man
Anyone know the song/beat from the Busta Rhymes freestyle at 3:25 ??

That must have been a blast. The 90s were a great period. I'm surprised they didn't shut you down for the profanity.

Yeah, because none of those people make music anymore. If people aren't played on the radiio they must not exist.
And p2p doesn't exist, so there's no way you can just go look their new stuff up, right now, free.
Idiot.
