  • @FreethinkingFun - Did u even READ my comment? u just repeated what i said: electrics were first. People chose combustion (more efficient). Just think about external combustion (steam). U use the energy from coal directly rather than routing it through the grid to your car. gas n Diesel r even more efficient (@ this point in history)

  • Surya Das was taught by Neem Karoli Baba at one point

  • the hummer was popular, and saying a gulf state benifits from big oil. looking back to peoples opinions is so ironic sometimes........

  • Trace Adkins tells it like it is =) go trace

  • Vicki Lawrence is a rude red-headed bitch. More so than Bill Maher :P

  • Trace Adkins is a piece of shit. He sucks at singing too

  • @eddo1983 Hey shut up you stupid dumb ass

  • @countryoutlaw100 well no surprise you like Honky Tonk Badonkadonk and swing batta batta swing...Your screen name is country outlaw....Hank Williams III is the best outlaw

  • @eddo1983 i do agree with the hank Williams but still lay off of Trace and your DAMN right i like honky tonk Badonkadonk and the song is called swing not swing batta batta swing

  • @countryoutlaw100 well that song swing sucks. I know its old but i cant stand country anymore. its not the same anymore. it sounds more like pop/country

  • @eddo1983 yeah most country is these days honestly but its not all bad

  • @eddo1983 Hey trace don't suck

  • Did that guy seriously say that oil companies won't let us have electric cars that we've had for 50 years? WRONG. Electrics were around b4 internal combustion carriages dude. Gasoline simply was the free market choice of the masses whence the infrastructure was in place.

  • @yadidimeanmaine WRONG..electric cars actually predate gas-powered cars. 1833, Thomas Davenport built an electric rotary motor. Then Robert Davidson attached the motor to a carriage and invented the first electricity powered car. The first gas powered carriage wasn't until 1864.

At the turn of the century people had a choice between gas, electric or steam. First 'hybrid' was in 1898.

I'm not necessarily saying that "big oil" killed the electric car but there is no reason to ignore history

  • That haircut worked in the 90s but its time get a new look Bill lol

  • where in the hell is rae dawn chung?

  • im glad maher got fired from this show, because real time has a much better panel. Look at this panel, is there anyone of importance or of intellect on here.

  • @Slugg329 Christopher Hitchens and Whoopie Goldberg was on at the same time!

  • @LiBlub1 Hitch is great, but whoopie? no thanks

  • @Slugg329 Well obviously if you'd think that if you live in capitalist USA!

  • ...and now having actually watched this whole thing, yes, everything that Trace Adkins says confirms that he's a shitkicking idiot.

  • I'm sorry but even IF Trace Adkins had any respectable kind of point to make, I simply can't believe that anybody with that accent is anything but a shitkicking idiot.

  • Ironically it's people like you that are the "shitkicking idiots".

  • @ScinLaeca358

How smart is it to judge a person's intellect by his accent?

  • How bout judging someone that keeps his hat on when he walks into a room. How fucking dumb is that?

  • I have been a fan of Trace Adkins' music for years. He's such a good guy and cares about America and his fans. Yes he's a tough guy but he's a smart guy.

  • ok, so the only thing that can we have that can make an explosion in the engines of our cars is dead dinosaurs?

no, it's the only easily monopolized product that does it.

    Damn whiskey/lack of editing!

  • DAMN YOU WHISKEY!!!!!!... high enough proof liquor can run ur car.. fyi

  • the electric car killed itself due to the fact that it requires more fossil fuels to power. the majority of eletric in the US comes from burning of fossil fuels (coal). everytime you convert one form of energy into another alot of it is lost. thus it takes more fossil fuels to make the electricy to power an electric car than it takes to power a regular car takes.

  • thats a lot of bullshit..

you can run an electric city car all day long for less than 2 dollars.

  • Not to dispute global warming (I believe firmly in it), but they based the discussion on a misconception:

The Unimog is a farming tool, not an extra large SUV. It was designed as a cheap and versatile farming tractor replacement in post-war Germany when resources and food were scarce. Today it is used widely as a "professional utility vehicle", e.g. snow-plough, high-way grass-mower etc..

It simply lacks the "coolness" of the Humvee and therefore will not become a toy in the same sense.

  • I dislike that cowboy fella - with his "Yee-ha," roughneck, country grammar, Chevy truck drivin', yellow ribbon tyin', NASCAR watchin', flag wavin', Freedom Fries orderin', blind "patriot" comments. Probably also wants to get the "evildoers" at any cost. Ignorant. I applaud those who booed him on the set.

  • Oh..thats funny stuff!!
