@stevescissors - truly is Steve, a very nice guy- or as Jay Leno said when Johnny was on the Tonight Show this week "The nicest guy in show business'- his humble style is always so apparent. And a non- ego talented star. Enjoy:)
@lenoremewton When I was young, i never realized how talented he was. As we get older we seem to get much wiser and see the shit thats out on the radio today and then do we realize the meaning of true talent. My aunt had an Antique Shop way out in Long Island in the late 60's and 70's. He would come in very often with his friend. I remember her telling everyone what a nice and kind person Jonhnny Mathis was. I wonder if he lived out in Long Island way back then?
@stevescissors - nice story of when you were young- I think, this is just something I heard once, that he would rent a place on Long Island when he would play up there- he used to play at - for instance, Westbury Theater on Long Island for week at a time. The name of the place he stayed/rented is on the tip of my tongue! He is wonderful- so glad you've rediscovered his full gifts again.
@lenoremewton. He probably rented somewhere in The Hamptons, A well known section where all the rich anb famous hang out. I sent his most recent videos from youtube to some of my friends, they can't get over how good he still sounds. I live in NYC and i believe it's not called Westbury anymore, they changed the name of the theatre, but it will always be Westbury Theatre to me. I've seen some great shows there over the years. Thanks for always replying, you're very kind.
@KatieWalford - so so true. He is such a warm, humble person/soul. You can see it in the recent UK video uploads people have put up from his tour there. He has such heart. I'm glad you are enjoying this. You're welcome.:)
I love that stars will admit to their humble beginnings instead of putting on airs like some of them do because they think its expected of them, he is proud of his parents and not at all ashamed ,that's why he is so successful ,the humility ,the ability to laugh at himself gratefulness to his fans, yet he is refined cultured gentleman with boyish good looks and in my opinion the best ballad singer in the world
@mimibella12 -Ah, I would like more- will have to see- and then others might put some up so we can all keep searching. If I can I would be glad to . enjoy.
Just can't get enough of this beautiful man!!! All these videos are so fantastic, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into sharing them with us. More, more, more, PLEASE!!!
@flodigarry1 - You're so welcome- i'm so glad people are enjoying this so. I enjoy sharing- and I'm sure you look regularly - but if you search on Johnny Mathis every day in YT search you'll see live uploads by other people as well- not every day but that way you won't miss any. I search everyday! What a following Johnny has - we need never ask why. Enjoy.
As always, a BIG thank you for posting all of the Johnny Mathis videos that you have shared with all of us. It is a joy to watch Johnny Mathis... God Bless Johnny Mathis !! I could never, ever forget Johnny Mathis, he simply is: Unforgettable.
@gemeyes2 - You're very welcome- i 'm thrilled people are enjoying this so- but why not- all the live videos of Johnny on YT and there are so many great ones - make us feel like we are 'right there'. Unforgettable certainly is the perfect song title for him. Enjoy.
@RvHauler1 - So glad people are enjoying this so! We're fortunate that there are so many ways to enjoy Johnny- videos- CDs, old LPs, concerts. I guess I never tire of saying "Lucky us". Enjoy:)
@777Moonbeam - It's no wonder "Heavenly " is more than a song title. Gee, to even be in the same sentence! My part is infinitesimal . But you are very welcome!
@mathismagic37 You're welcome and thank you:) They have a very nice repartee- Johnny and Wogan. I also loved the rapport Johnny and Johnny Carson shared-. And of course- the music....
