It's not like she knew she was in a commercial. She's just a regular person who was set up. That's what makes it so great. The comment was just something that came to her mind when talking about hamburgers. Is it really that much of a stretch to believe someone would think of a fast food joint when talking about a restaurant that served only burgers?
She was not "set up". It was an act. You said: "is it really that much of a stretch to believe someone would think of a fast food joint when talking about a restaurant that served only burgers?" That is off the topic. It was not a restaurant at all, or even one that "served only burgers", the whole thing was set up. Why would the same "target" say "hardee's" for the southern market commercial and "Carl's Jr." for the Northern market commercial. Do you see my logic? These people were not fooled.
Ok, someone mentioned this on another board as well. I have seen this commercial in the south and the SAME PEOPLE say Hardee's as opposed to Carl's Jr. like the one you've seen on here. Carl's Jr. for the North & Hardee's for the South. White Castle - North; Krystal's - South, Same principal. The "setup" video proves that there was only ONE "fake resturant". They failed to mention where this place is because if it was northern, people would have no idea what a Hardee's burger is. Nice try. Fake!
Saying Hardee's could easily have been dubbed in after the initial set up.

Why would Carl's Jr. be the first thing to come to her mind in an Carl's Jr. Commercial?
