  • HTC Titan and Radar are 4G.

Xbox Live on wp7 doesnt YET offer online multiplayer gaming.

Android, iOS, and wp7 can all attach office files, but you would probably need a 3rd party app on android and ios if you want to open them.

Windows Phones are not just gaming phones; Windows Phone is what a smartphone should be.

Side note: the woman is filipino, I can tell by the accent with recent use of words like "like", and acsending inflections like "coreeeeect"

  • HTC Titan is 4G! lol

  • Let me guess, you called AT&T, right? The word "Skyrocket" gave it away :-)

  • That explains a lot. I think Microsoft needs to focus on selling these phones at their own stores as well as in brick and mortar stores like Best Buy etc. They should keep live demo sets for the public to try out. Because unless people try them, how are they gonna know something is good or bad. Non tech people are really worried about these kind of purchases (they play safe) and usually go with what their friends and sales people tell them.

  • Yea, I totally think carriers are shitting on Windows Phone, and for no good reason. Sprint still tries to push Blackberry to customers but they dont even attempt to push the HTC Arrive, which is still better than any blackberry. Honestly Android or IOS is probably still the best way to go currently, but Im sure by the end of 2012 Windows Phone will catch up... and I'll be surprised if Blackberrys are even mentioned by the carriers anymore.

  • Lawl, "window-based." Jesus christ.

I'm in love with Mango. After using/abusing every mobile OS out there, that's what I came back to. Personal preference and all that- but COME ON, this is ridiculous and painful to listen to. Favoritism is close to illegal where I work, dunno about the US, but throw in some god damn ethics and proper training before you throw 'the girl next door' on the phone to give out advice.. sadly, money is what drives the world and its business..

  • I was at Best Buy today to take a look at the Samsung focus s. The had the focus flash dummy phone set up. It wasn't active just a mock up of the screen on a plastic model. I asked to see the focus s and I was told that I'd have to order that phone through the Best Buy website?! WTF? The flag ship At&t windows phone not on display? The one working phone was a demo 1rst gen Samsung focus running WITHOUT MANGO!!!! This was complete bullshit. I could only laugh at this ignorant situation.

  • And to add to my last comment. Just to give you an example of Verizon's executive view... I once had a regional manager say to me... "if all we sold were iPhones we wouldn't be in business much longer" that's Verizon's view because they might buy a bionic for ~ $400 and sell it for $300 on contract thus losing only $100 up front to gain a customer for 2 years vs paying around $600 for an iPhone and subsidizing the phone by $400 to make it $199.

  • I used to work for Verizon. They push Android phones because they make the carrier the most money. That's the ONLY reason. Verizon brainwashes their employees and upper mgmt staff that Android is the best platform bar none but it's NOT... It just makes Verizon more money bc of the higher profit margins on crappy Android phones. The funny thing is the Android phones (no matter low or high end) were ALWAYS coming back with frustrated customers because of hardware and software problems. Also, the

  • what a retard. how did she even get that job in the first place?

  • @chez3makr first she had to give someone a blowJOB in order to get the job

  • The 4s is not 4g, and if you thing it is you need to wake up the guy below me

  • When you work in a carrier store/or through phone, you will understand that poor girl. She does a job, she gets a higher comission when she sells better data plans, thats why she tried to push the LTE and 4G. It actually doesnt matter that much when staff sell phone, they dont care which phone they hand you over. The biggest point is to to hand out the most expensive data plan = best comission. But WP7 doesnt have LTE, thats why she tried not to sell. Even the biggest WP7 fanboy would do this.

  • man i'm kinda embarassed to say i have a Windows Phone after hearing that...

  • Lol, she said the 4S isn't 4G when it is.

  • correeeeect

  • I don't see the point to offering one year old phones or 3G phones as an upgrade. It may suit your liking but being future proof is what makes people like one purchase over the other; ex. ps3 blu-ray. If you're honest with yourself, she even steered away from the iPhone. That says more than enough.

  • @AndyMak56 Buying a first generation LTE phone with power-hungry chipsets is also pretty stupid, especially when it does not do what you want it to do.

  • @WMPowerUser And her job, as she is trained, is to sell the newer phones, not the older ones. The newer phone have a battery problem and zooming lags but run well aside from that. She did her job well. What should be done is Microsoft needs to get with the program and produce the latest technology. Here's to hoping we get a Nokia Lumia 800 LTE. Then, and only then, she would be doing a bad job.

  • @AndyMak56 The Samsung Focus S is brand new.

  • @WMPowerUser So is the iPhone 4s. When you look hard enough for something (retail bias in this case), you'll see it; even when it's not there. Again she recommended the newer future technology: LTE.

  • @AndyMak56 No, actually she is doing a bad job the moment she forgets to even mention windows phones when asked what smartphones do they sell...

  • @Dare2Blink Did she initially mention the iPhone? I'm quite sure she didn't forget of it's existence. Her job is to sell AT&T services (LTE, HSPA+), not HTC, Samsung and all them other people's products.

  • @AndyMak56

So it's okay to sell you a crappy phone and not present ALL the options?

I suppose it is ok for her to then sell nothing but refurbished phones. No need to tell the customer that it's refurbished either. See how I can take it to an extreme and then it doesn't make sense for the seller to know little to nothing about the hardware they are peddling?

  • @MagmaFist There's a reason AT&T and Verizon are the top carriers. How they train their associate have proven to not scare customers away and continues to introduce new ones. Do you think they care what you think? Phone Hardware is none of their business. That's the reason HTC, Samsung and all them others exist. Refurbished is a bad example on your part since it breaks the law.

  • @AndyMak56

she didnt mention iphone coz it was sold out and it would be a waste of her time to mention it. stop being a dumbass please. The fact that she didn't give him the option of wp and the fact that she didn't even consider it a smartphone (which she then promptly says "the one i forgot to mention" and then she goes on to say "but its not lte" as if thats a valid excuse for forgetting to mention it) shows her ignorance. I can't believe you're supporting her ignance.

  • Comment removed

  • @AndyMak56 No it's not. I work for Koodo in Canada and we work to get more customers, we don't give a shit about the phones. We make no money on the hardware, it's the contracts/new customers that matter.

  • @WMPowerUser your argument is akin to telling him to buy an iPhone 3G
