At the time they chose to jump, these people did not know that the towers would go on to fall. They were waiting for rescue. They gave up waiting because of the conditions they were faced with became unbearable. They realised they would probably burn before any rescue attempt reached where they were. They took their fate into their own hands. It was incredibly brave. I couldn't imagine being in that position of hopelessness. A horrifically sad day. My thoughts are with them,and all who died.
