Actually a lot of oversea's chinese was not political or protesting at all before the olympic games. look it wasn't an invasion in 1951, tibet has always been a part of china through the yuan, ming (to a lesser extent) and qing. thats 800 years. and from 1900s to 1951 tibet was relatively free as an autonomous region because of civil war/foreign invasion in China.
