It's pretty good. The campus is pretty convenient to public transportation, amenities and the Interstate system. Also, GSU's a top-rated liberal arts, research school.
@what2listen2 It's a really good school! I'm a junior there and I love it! If you like being in a big city, then it's really not that bad. The only thing I don't like is the panhandlers and weird guys...I was assaulted by a guy there (sexually) and there are a bit of robberies, but still...it's a good school! Great professors and everything!
It's pretty cool having ones school in an urban environment like this. There's a lot to do. I wouldn't have liked being on a college campus in a rural environment.
So I applied to GSU for Grad School, I toured the campus and I didn't like how it was literally in downtown. Can anyone give me a perspective of how that affects your studies?
Well, if you can stay focused on your studies in this type of environment, one where there are a lot of distractions, you'll be fine. I went there and graduated with no problem, but I wasn't a partier.
Well, this was the same day that I rode the MARTA train. I got off and just walked by and through GSU -- haven't been there in awhile. Pretty nice walk, indeed.
Georgia Tech's an engineering school, so I assume a lot of engineers at GDOT went there. Don't know that for sure, though.
I am a grad student in an engineering school in France, and I might spend 2 years at Georgia Tech and graduate from it (my school has a partnership with GT), so it's interesting to know.
nice tour .. i wish i could do one of these in my city . everything here seems like these people are nice and friendly and nothing to really worry about
