I,ve been working on my mad hatter costume for a few months now and everything has been going good but I'm having trouble finding boots in this color and I saw in the comments you said you painted them if you could please tell me what paint you used that would be great. I AM DESPERATE for an answer because I've been to soooo many shoe stores looking for boots in this color and have found nothing. :(

@missylemon3443 Hiya! =D The paint was a mix between orange and like 3 tans...I would just say mix together paint like I did if you cant get the right color. But they should have that color paint in a craft store. =] Have fun! and Goodluck!!!! :]

@ladyatriel I made them...painted, added the tacks, laces, they were tall old boots but I cut them and painted them and turned them into what they are. =]

@THESAVYZEBRA Actually, that was the first time I put my costume on so I forgot the lipstick. My costume wasnt fully perfect then either. The bow tie wasnt cut, and I had yet to add more to the hat. Now my costume is fully done and I always use lipstick. ^.^ Oh and I now use a wig.. haha. =D

@PiratePrincess21 It took me awhile to figure out how I was going to make them but I used my creative brain and figured it out. ^.^ I used floral wire for like fake flowers and stuff...I took the green string off from around it and under the string is silver metal perfect for it. So I just cut it the right size with wire cutters then made the tops of the hat pins out of fun foam and more wire..=] hope that helps! and goodluck to you! =D

@Yakiiroll Thanks, the shoes were pretty hard. I used a pair of old cowboy boots that I had and cut them then painted them (the inside red also) then added the red laces then put the tacks in them. Last I added a little piece of metal on the tip of the toe like he has on his boots. =]

@imsweeneytodd Well funny story, it took me about a month to make Sweeney Todd's costume. But the girl we had that was going to be/make mrs.lovett backed out the day we needed her and the costume. So Emily and I (Sarah) had to make our Mrs.Lovett costume in one night..and we didnt have any of the supplies...yepper. But we pulled it off and got it done. =]

it has taken me 2 years to do Sweeney. Sweeney is my main cosplay and i tried to get everything as close to the original costume as possible. so i have thought about doing a Hatter cosplay, but i would make myself crazy with the details.
