Correction, Halogen stole the idea from bungie. Halo was going to be an RTS originally. ES started development of Halo Wars around the time this was announced, and MS let them use Halo about a month later, long before this mod as populair. I am sad we never got to play HaloGen, it looks fun, but at least ES will deliver.

So tell me then, how can microsoft copy off of halogen when there was already a Halo RTS in the works before the production of the first game even began? I would suggest reading up on your Halo before listening to the masses. Also, ES did NOT deliver. They made one of the worst games in existence, and I can honestly say that a mod like HaloGen would have easily been 10 times better.

MS didn't even know that Halo was planned to be a RTS, Bungie went to them when they already decided to make it a shooter. Halo Wars' production started much later than that of Halogen.

@DudDoodoo microsoft didnt copy off halogen, it was in development before halogen.. also, bungie is good at not releasing teasers, so halogen could not have copied off of them, no1 copied off of anyone. HaloGen would've easily excelled Halo Wars, but Halogen would have had to eventually pay Microsoft because of skins and such

Or course Halo Wars looks better in many ways than Halogen, but thats exactly the problem. Microsoft essentially stole the idea from Halogen.
