I'm looking forward to deus ex 3, I'm not going to get my hopes up and think its going to be ten times better than DX, because DX set the bar really high and because of it, invisible war got torn apart when overall it isn't a terrible game, not awesome but it done the job. As long as I enjoy playing DX3 and it's overall a well made game then I'll think of it as worth the wait.

If you want, the deus ex machina is the "cheapest" trick to bring stories with plot holes to an otherwise impossible end or make them continue.

Think of weapons lying around in impossible places, so that the hero can defend himself, new characters that suddenly appear and give the story a silly twist etc.

Actually DX 2 wasn't a bad game in it's own right.

But, since it was a sequel to DX 1 the standard really should have been higher.

Doom 3 wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was again a great game in it own right.

DX 3 isn't being made by Ion Storm so it could be terrible if Eidos doesn't try their very best to create a good, deep, long, flexible game with a good story and plot. I hope vehicles can be disabled and destroyed with well places shots if they do have them (they won't)

well ok deus ex 1 yeah the best of it, but happily dx2 yeah ok it probably doesn't suck that bad as they say for most ppl, but kinda did, not really, but that's the even better thing that dx2 didn't have multiplayer, dx1 would of been dead probably because if deus ex 2 had multiplayer, it would make deus ex 1 obsolete and that would be sad, because it has the ranking of All-Time Best Game Ever Made... (p.s. sadly its dieing because of a certain guy and a certain community is evil + up to no good

i had never played DX1 but no need to because Invisible War blew me away... I was a huge halo junkie, and I played DX2 after halo and thought it was much better gameplay. i think it was the closest game to represent the upcoming next-gen games. DX3 will rock us all.
