The Glazers bought United for around £650m, every penny of which was borrowed from the bank, they have not invested a penny of their own money into the club. The debt they incurred from the bank has been transfered to United, basically meaning that the Glazers no longer owe the bank anything, United do. Every penny of that debt has to be paid back by the club. We are currently paying off around £40m of interest a year, and that is before we even touch the £650m that was borrowed.
