@Ace2008 ive been running a stock clutch for about 2000 miles and it hasnt started slipping yet. and thats with me putting down 285whp and 268lbs of tq.

@NcLovin20 yeah thats the kind of power im looking for when i get boosted. only reason i ask is because my pressure plate on my tc is getting worn and i dont wanna throw a turbo on with a bad pressure plate.

@Ace2008 thats not a bad idea, but a stock clutch will last as long as you want it to pretty much (not saying it will never have to be replaced). it just depends on how badly you abuse it.

dont do it. if the tc is your only car leave it realiable cuz once you buy a turbo nothing is 100%. i mean it'll run for periods of time but it'll bust a lot.

a properly designed turbo kit and tuned correctly, will give you almost ZERO issues in reliability.

Provided the driver is sane and actually has some sort of common sense.

my friend has a supercharged civic si......

he's making around 280-290hp and has been doing so for the last 30k miles out of the cars 40k miles of regular spirited driving.

so dont tell me that modding your car with a turbo or supercharger is going to cause reliability issues especially if your car is tuned proper

m FD RX-7 has a large frame GT35R on a stock block, with 60k original miles making 380hp at 10psi and 450 at 15psi, on a stock-mounted intercooler. tuned on 93 octane.

its all about how good the tune is, and how good you are with taking care of your vehicle.

hell with Steve Kan having tuned my car, my mileage INCREASED to 18city and 26hwy

i have a 06 tC that i have had a turbo on it for almost 2 years now and i haven't had one problem. as long as you have someone tune it or know what your doing you will have NO ISSUES IN RELIABILITY! then on top of that i have had my 99 civic that i put a b18 in and put a GT35/40 turbo and the 75 shot of zex. my civic runs just as good now as the day i bought it. ( just hell of a lot faster now) i just figured i'd use my experience.

AWD cars are shity from a roll. Look at it this way. A WRX on a strip is only good at launch. Let's compare that and a TC. A WRX does bewteen a 14.9 - 14.6 @91.58 mph and a tc does bewteen a 15.8 - 15.5 at 89.65 mph thats only a difference of 1.93 mph. WRX's lose alot of speed after the start moving. That goes for all AWD cars. It's just that AWD cars launch and grip the ground so much better than FWD cars causing them to get better @ 1/4 mile times. But from a roll they are completely trash.

It beat modded RSX's and hung with SRT's but never actually ran it except for those 2 cars. And for idsricky, the car stock MPG is about 22-23 and with the turbo it was about 16-18, that just depended on much you were in boost, other wise it was just normal gas mileage.....stupid.....but yeaits a great car to turbocharge but just did not have funds at the time. I plan to put one on again sometime, but we'll just have to wait....

I actually do not have the turbo kit on anymore. The car put out about 210-215 hp. It ran off the stock ecu, ZPI said it will just adjust to the new turbo and it kind of did, but still ran a little funny.
