Atheists taking things out of context as usual (this documentary about "Time" was awesome BTW). Both crazy Christians and crazy atheists are just that...crazy. Their concrete minds can only fathom 2 things, existence and non-existence, in only what they see fit.
- the bible is a 2000 year old book! It is COMPLETELY irrelevant in today's society. For better fitted fairy tale stories read "Star Wars" or "Harry Potter". They provide very good moral values and they don't impose beliefs into you. They let you CHOOSE!
The Grand Canyon, featured in this program, is an example of what the Flood did in 40 days and nights, not over "billions of years" as is postulated here.
Professor Kaku also asserts that eternal life means "endless time." He shows his ignorance of the Bible and of Christianity at this point. Eternity is outside of Time - its another dimension. Human beings are imprisoned in Time. Eternal Life begins when a person accepts Jesus Christ as Savior. It continues after death, for all eternity.
@kevindar301 eternity is time - it is a measurement of time. it cannot be outside of time. Eternal life on the other hand simply does NOT exist. It is impossible for any living form to live eternally. I personally never encountered anything that lives forever. Now Jesus as a savior, that makes no sense to me. Savior of what? did he save something or someone?
Some of the contrubutors here need to take a few basic lessons in English grammar and punctuation, then perhaps we could have some sort of intelligent debate on this subject. A quote from the Word of God, the Creator of the Universe, before whom we shall all stand one day in the future. "The preaching of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are saved, it is the power of God and the wisdom of God." Please don`t criticize the Bible unless you have read it.

@kevindar301 he is not the only one that believes that extra terrestrial life is out there. Actually, the U.S. army has military strategies planned out in case of an alien invasion. It's a serious concern believe it or not. We have to assume there is life out there - until we have visited every single part of the universe.
If you were born with no knowledge that religion exists and then found out about it when you were an adult, would you be able to pick one? It seems crazy to follow stories that are thousands of years old instead of coming to your own conclusions with the evidence science has given us.

Where exactly does it say in the bible the earth is 6,000 years old? I always bring that up to Christians and they claim it doesn't say that? Any fellow atheists know?
That´s another reason why bible is wrong, Take a look in the glorious quran, you will find so much proof that has been verified by established science today.
Tell Michio Kaku to study the quran, and inshallah(if God will) he will find the truth to siratal mustaqim(straight path).....
Morals exhibit plasticity just like anything else related to our culture. Things that are acceptable now would be outlawed in ancient times, and vice versa. Therefore it is primarily society that dictates morality, not religion. It should also be noted that we are biologically "moral" in many ways, and for good reason. It wouldn't be possible to exist as a highly social species without some overarching rules to which most members conform.
the thing about christianity is... most christians have a warped view on what it is. they listen to their corrupt churches instead of reading the bible for themselves and actually learning what the true gospel is. people don't realize that christianity is a teaching, not a religion...
and this "gaping whole" is clearly passages that have been taken out by the people trying to destroy it.
believe what you want. there's so much deception we can only believe what makes sense to us individually
It is true. Humans do not need religion to teach us morality. For example, it's common sense that if every human being killed one another, our species would not survive. We don't need religion to know that. The Bible is nothing more then stories with a moral conclusion. Bed time stories for adults and God is like Santa Clause.
@thebizkid84 True cuz u said so moron? You're an ignorant who doesn't know science, history, logic or philosophy, or, big surprise: religion. What I have observed about Michio Kaku= >He is not an atheist. >His beliefs are totally screwed up. >He said in a different video that he believes in the God of the old testament. >He does not believe what the God he believes in says. >He exchanges the truth of God for a lie. >He listens to humans more than the God he believes in. >He also believes in the god of "order." Which violates the law of the other "god". >He only believes in half of the other god. >HE IS A NUTCASE..........
I laughed every time someone equates God with morality. If God is indeed the epitome of perfect moral values, the U.S. would be an absolute monarchy with zero democracy since God himself is essentially a tyrant. It's fortunate that the forefathers had the foresight to separate religion from the state- without the separation we would simply be another Iran.
@Senkew You laugh because you are a moron, an ignorant one who doesn't know science, history, logic or philosophy, or, big surprise: religion. Stop pretending you were sitting on a magic fence watching the Big Magic Life Making Bomb exploding billions and billions and billions of years ago you deluded moron who thinks your laughter makes you right and is scientific evidence. You are a MORON. Here moron, more convenient evidence for the Bible being true, WHICH SAYS NOT TO LIE OR MURDER, IDIOT.
@Senkew "If God is indeed the epitome of perfect moral values,"
Super idiot who thinks his mere laughter and using big words makes him right (no narcissist idiot it doesn't, stop watching movies and imitating actors portraying arrogance), stop ranting.
@Senkew "the U.S. would be an absolute monarchy with zero democracy since God himself is essentially a tyrant."
A tyrant because you said so arrogant mocker moron. That's science and logic? Which is contradictory hypocrite: you want God to limit whatever you do, or allow us to have freedom? DUR? Make sense idiot. You can't have it both ways, stop damning God if he does or doesn't let you have freedom.
@Senkew It's fortunate that the forefathers had the foresight to separate religion from the state- without the separation we would simply be another Iran." Turd brain all you have to do is look up on a search engine how the forefathers did not separate it, further you super idiot, stop comparing Islam to Christianity you stereotyping myth perpetuating overgeneralizing moron. And ultra moron, Iranians aren't blowing themselves up, and its Muslims who do, not Christians blind hypocrite. Think!
@Senkew And what a snot demonic idiot you are: ''God it ur fault for me being evil, u bad God!" Take responsibility for your own actions demonic accuser. HYPOCRITE. STOP BLAMING GOD FOR YOUR SINS AND THOSE OF OTHERS. God grow up you, "According to the thirteenth calculation from the Big Bomb trillions of years ago the spatial dimensions show God is essentially a tyrant, Ben Franklin was an atheist and did indeed say the luminescence Constitution was not based on the Bible". Babbling oaf.
@Senkew And hyper turd: why does Wikipedia, which is dominated and controlled by atheists, say that the Bible is historical from King Solomon's reign on? And why ultra moron doesn't it point out the other historical evidence for before that time, just like you? Because you and all other atheists ARE MORONS, ARBITRARY HYPOCRITICAL BABBLING MORONS PRETENDING TO BE WISE AND JEALOUS OF CHRISTIANS. YOU LOSE AND YOU FAIL, AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN. KEEP "LEARNING" HYPOCRITES, STILL "LEARNING", HAH.
How about not being biased and showing favoritism arbitrary immoral idiot? Dur?
"michio kaku disproving nonsense as usual." Because you said so anti-scientific moron. And ultra turd, he said THE BIBLE IS SCIENTIFIC. LIKE YOU AND ALL OTHER ATHEISTS AND BIBLE-DENIERS, YOU ARE CONTRADICTORY HYPOCRITICAL BABBLING GREEDY MORONS ADDICTED TO PLEASURE AND PATHETIC PRAISE. Stop pandering, and stop flattering you idiot.
@BarbnGrill I just want to know why every single religious person when confronted with someone that thinks different they just treat them like shit, insulting that person's intelligence, social status, etc. Aren't you (religious people) supposed to act in a very different way? aren't you supposed to be kind, respectful and tolerant?
@BarbnGrill so you're saying pi = 3.0 like the bible says right? it's scientific right. please prove pi = 3.0 as the bible clearly states. "He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it. Below the rim, gourds encircled it - ten to a cubit."

What will Mr Michio Kaku say when the sky opens to reveal a being in a white garment. what will his theories & pontifications do for him then, heck he might already be dead by then. But what about the people that followed his theories as their religion what will they say.... As for me I'd rather be prepared than unprepared.
sorry doesn't work that way. you're basing that bullshit on 1 religion out of thousands. what will you do when the ground opens and fenrir the mighty wolf breaks his shackles and begins gotterdammerrung. believing in a religion to be "prepared" is retarded and insulting to all religions.
I can see that you like to argue about points, my friend you have no basis other than the fact you are weak minded individual that can not grasp the concepts of many things. Also tardo, all religions teach preparedness whether it be for the day ahead or for the end of all that exist. If they didn't then what use would their gods be to the believers. Religions teach people to be better people in the eyes of that religion. I'm so everyone enjoys ur dumbass input, so keep posting dumb shit.
the use of gods for believers is to keep the ignorant under control. people are afraid of death and afraid of the fact their lives are meaningless. religion is a way for a ruling body to suppress and control weak minded people who are incapable of controlling themselves.
not really, i'm a sciency person and i think religion controls people from being corrupt in many ways such as sex. Science promotes it silently but not intentionally, without God their is no sins so having sex at any age is not wrond or sinful, cause your not going to hell or heaven when u die you just .. well die. I think we need both to balance the world otherwise people will go corrupt silently or not silently and stop being smart and we only have few smart ones like Michio Kaku.
it's not sinful. theres no such thing as sin, there's no such thing as morals and there's no such thing as ethics. we have prescribed ideologies in our culture but travel to africa it's totally different, same with south america, asia etc etc.
maybe in a sense there is eternal life in paralle universes and quantum mechanics, since with an infinite number of universes you are born and dye the in countless realities that exist
lolz I could actually quash his logic on this one. thats just me though. Look past the documentary and the interviews. all you have is another choson ninja lolz
yes but by his own retrospection of the common views of mortality and life can also be applied to his own beliefs. Its almost like his belief in M theory, something that has no proof but cant be disprove. The only truth of the known universe is this. We are the most unimportant spec of nothingness in the vastness of even more nothingness. It is because of this that he tries to find some reason in dimensional properties. You get my meaning? Its just like the people waiting for heaven.
not the most unimportant cause if that were true we would have no values or moroles since some of us do that makes us important u dont need to be omnipotent to matter. Inside your soul if you are good that makes you important.
you're not japanese and he is so shut your fucking face. tell him he's not japanese even though his parents were stuck in internment camps during the war. i have kaku sensei's phone number why don't you tell him how un japanese he is and how it's inappropriate to call him sensei. how about you change your name because you're white and you don't deserve that pseudo japanese bullshit name. fucking jackass
Interesting points of view. When did time begin no one knows as far as I'm concerned Scientists and religious doctorines can say all they want but well no one was there.Through ancient text there are different stories we all know that when we tell one person something and they tell someone etc. the story changes. To me a intelligence did create the universe. But to me anyone can believe what they want. As long as a person is good thats all that matters. This is a big topic thanx 4 sharing.
In these days of the hooved that bleat, Science masquerades as Philosophy, and Religion masquerades as Science. Neither be the one nor the other. Truth be lost in endless seas of agenda and misunderstanding both by religious silliness and scientific masturbators. Only those whom love their own voice speak without hearing. Both groups be one in the same - lamentable sheep bleating angrily from opposite ends of pasture. Thy sadness is that they shall never see nor admit this. Only bleat.
I don't practice any religion but at the same time I can see that we can't really 'prove' religion is wrong and remove it. It goes for anything though, you can tell me that you believe in a big planet called Labamba in a distance galaxy and I wouldn't be able to prove it doesn't exist. Why not just let those believers do their thing and we do our thing and life goes on. Every feels better about it. As long as nobody tries to force me to believe what they do, we're all good. If they do, MMA time
Well as an Agnostic person, I'd say who cares whether religion has any truth or not to it. I don't take part in any religion but a lot of my friends / family do and it gives them hope so I feel happy for them. Sure why not. What ever makes you feel better I say. No need to put them down by scientifically proving them wrong. We can just agree to disagree at worst.
Well Agnostics like me just stay away from religion but respect people who practice it. If it starts to affect me, than I'll defend myself so to speak. The Earth is around 5 billion years old, and humans have been here for millions of years but probably some huge event happened around 4004 BC, where a lot of people died, then after that started a new civiliation, and that's what they mean by the beginning of time. Not a literal thing in my mind.
I can see your point of view, however in reality MAN is the cause of so much death, even if religion was removed man would replace it with something else.
Religion is interconnected with the mind, and the multiverse beyond. You know Michio Kaku is interested in other dimensions, and perhaps soon particle physics may find an endless interconnection to all. Religion is only a small part of the overall picture.
"we find no vestige of a beginning, no prospect of an end." :)
yes but I don't think it's the cause. I think it's a reason, an option. It's almost the same argument guns don't kill people bullets do. It's another reason to blame why we are so disgusting on something else. Just like guns are made to kill people, and bullets are just an option.
Well said man. Who gives a shit about someone else's beliefs, that's what they believe in, not you. If people were more willing to accept eachother's differences, we wouldn't have problems in the world.
but you should care about other people's beliefs. obviously you should care about terrorists and their beliefs, or christians who won't get medical help for their children and try to heal them with prayer. but think about even a regular christian who believes someone will go to hell for not believing in jesus, they should care completely about other people and do everything in their power to save people from that fate. even though it's bullshit if they believe it they should care.
True, point taken there man but I was saying that in an agnostic way cuz I'm an agnostic Christian. I was implying that people should have the right to believe in whatever belief they want without being criticized.
no one has the right to not be criticized, everyone is entitles to their opinion. it just depends on how far the criticism goes. thats like people who want censorship because they're offended, you don't have that right. you have the right to ignore, protest and avoid what offends you but you have no right to stifle it
Ah ok cuz I was going to say, if it was a SELF look then you may not be as bad as you think, but even then like you said they have no right to judge, they are just as bad as anyone else.
My point exactly. Like I said, I'm an agnostic Christian so I believe that there is a God but I can't say there is 100% proof there is one because God is one of the things that man will not prove for a long time.
Well, cuz I believe in a God but he's just one thing that we can never prove yet. It's like believing in Bigfoot, you can believe in him/her/it but there's not enough proof to say there is one. Saying that you've experienced God isn't enough to prove he exists. Despite this though, he's just something I believe in.
An 'agnostic Christian' sounds like an oxymoron. I'm an agnostic so I don't have a religion but I respect those who do. To be honest I'd probably believe Aliens made the pyramids in Egypt before a god as a #2 possibility, of course humans building them are #1. And I'd probably believe our Universe was created in a lab by scientists from a type 3 civiliation over 'god' creating it. But that's just me. If you believe in god hey that's good what ever makes you happy.
Sure what ever feel right to you as an individual. I assume Agnostic Christians are Christians but at the same time they respect and are open to all other religions. I just thought it would be conflicting. Oh well at least that's more believeable than an Atheist Christian. Than I'd be like woh how does that work haha.
If you really look at it every religion is more interconnected, Brahmin is just like Allah, and the Hindu's belief in the 3 forms of their God, Brahmin, Vishnu, and Shiva, is just like the Christian Father, Son, Holy Spirit thing. Just my little .02 cents on that. But really now why do you have to attack him like that? He believes in the Christian God, not the Hindu God that answer is simple enough. Much like how come Hindu's don't believe in Jehova?
because believing in a specifically christian god when saying you're unsure doesn't make sense since that god states if you believe anything other than his specific doctrine you go to hell.
He doesn't say if you believe in anything other then his doctrine you go to hell, that is wrong, he says if you have other gods (i.e. more then one) you more or less go to hell. I am assuming he is more or less agreeing with the christian view of God over say the Hindu or Jewish or Islamic view of God. That is all. You can be unsure in anything but still believe in it. Like the big bang theory you can be unsure it happened but still believe it. (though it is generally accepted now)
No, I've never said that I was unsure of a God, I said that I believe in him but I can't say that he exists or doesn't because there's not enough evidence to back up either claim.
he's not an athiest. he's stated in interviews that he thinks it's silly to think that there isn't some form of intelligent design in the universe....
yea but that "intelligent design" is a guy such as himself performing experiments no a god, and he didn't say thats the truth about the universe he says thats how it could have happened, what he actually believes is the universe was formed by a collision of two branes
@DoNotBeHighandMighty all scientists are "agnostic" because you can't prove a negative. kaku doesn't believe in a personal god or a god that actually interacts with humans, or even with the universe, he's an atheist, as he's stated. just like einstein when he refers to "god" he's talking about an equation or set of laws, not a being.
@DoNotBeHighandMighty i love how you contradict your name. did you even click the link to the right there called michio kaku on god? you're an expert on kaku from the way you talk you know his beliefs so well right? so you must have listened to all his radio shows right? but you don't know when he said he didn't believe in god? strange
@DoNotBeHighandMighty i believe the loser with no life is the one who trolls videos of people who are far more intelligent than they are hoping to post a precompiled spiel about the beliefs of someone they've never met. so you were there with kaku at cuny right? what day? what were you wearing? i'll look through my video and pick you out. what station is his radio show on by the way? go ahead and answer.
@DoNotBeHighandMighty maybe you should take a look at the survey of american scientists and see that about 90% of them including theoretical physicists have said that.
@DoNotBeHighandMighty nice bullshit argument. god has a specific definition, if you're going to play with words then all all christians are taoists, and all toaists are hindu and all hindus are atheists like michio kaku. you're a little boy who is mad at atheists for being smarter than you, your feelings were obviously hurt and you troll youtube thinking you have a superior argument. go try and group the smart scientists in with "believers" to make yourself feel like you're not a dumbfuck
He share the same beliefs with Einstein who he admired. They believed in Spinoza's God, the God of Order, not the God of Miracle. The God of Order could be translated to Law of Physics.
I myself am somewhat of a Universalist. I believe in all religions for different reasons. Not so much I think all religions are right, just that I think each one is needed for a Higher Level of understanding or something along those lines. Enlightenment I guess would be best to use here like in Buddhism.
Kinda funny how Science was made by Humans by numbers we made up that prove laws and theories we made up, but everyone accepts it as truth without question xD Science really isn't too far from Religion imo, just one is generally accepted more as proven "truth" and the other is just accepted on pure faith with no real basic truth behind it, though they have proven many events have happened like the Exodus. Thanks for the Upload!! ^_^
the earth is 4.5 billion years old i think the universe has about 8 trillion years before every star burns out and there's nothing left aside from support systems rigged up by people of the future to keep themselves alive. the earth's sun will die out but before that in about 20-30 billion years it will swell up and swallow the earth, so the earth has a lifespan of 25-35 billion years
Now that's fact. Like I said, I'm considered a bad Christian cuz I have different religious beliefs and I don't go to Church every Sunday. I say they're the bad Christians cuz they go against God's words too. The bible says to love everyone but you got racists, prejudicial people, and anti-gays.
Now are you considering YOURSELF a bad christian or have people actually told you, that DO go to church every sunday and worship religiously, that you are a bad christian?
Yeah, the ones who go every Sunday but they have no right to judge. Like I said, there are alot of Christians who are anti-gay, prejudicial, or just racist and they go against some of the major restrictions such as "Thou shalt not kill", where the racist hard core Christians threaten, kill, or assualt anyone whose different.
actually the bible states that you should kill anyone who doesn't believe in the same god as you.
And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heavens, which I have not commanded. Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
Actually, I guess this a reason most consider me a bad Christian, I can prove that alot of stuff in the Bible is BS. It says not to alter it but I know for a fact someone had to have. There's proof that the Messiah was married, yet it says that he lived a life of solitude.
@scottbaioisdead ya but the bible is only half the story, chosen by the catholic church because of roman oppression. You also have to read the gnostic texts where christ spoke of the creator of the earth, the demiurge who claims himself a god and is in fact a false god. While the God in the heavens is mostly apathic to earth except the time he sent jesus to bring salvation.
I always have asked "why couldn't have god made the earth put the single celled organism here then just sat back and watched what happened ?" the only answer I can come up with is because then we are not special. Disproving the bible won't make god any less real to those who really believe, because god is not the bible. Great video man.
well nothing can actually disproved since you can't prove a negative, but to the people who think that the bible is the inerrant word of god it should do something, though even though i have brought up the point the bible claims pi = 3.0 they still claim there are no errors just confusion as to what it means, and to that i say what it says in corinthians "god is not the author of confusion"
Atheists taking things out of context as usual (this documentary about "Time" was awesome BTW). Both crazy Christians and crazy atheists are just that...crazy. Their concrete minds can only fathom 2 things, existence and non-existence, in only what they see fit.

Morals exhibit plasticity just like anything else related to our culture. Things that are acceptable now would be outlawed in ancient times, and vice versa. Therefore it is primarily society that dictates morality, not religion. It should also be noted that we are biologically "moral" in many ways, and for good reason. It wouldn't be possible to exist as a highly social species without some overarching rules to which most members conform.

the thing about christianity is... most christians have a warped view on what it is. they listen to their corrupt churches instead of reading the bible for themselves and actually learning what the true gospel is. people don't realize that christianity is a teaching, not a religion...
and this "gaping whole" is clearly passages that have been taken out by the people trying to destroy it.
believe what you want. there's so much deception we can only believe what makes sense to us individually
roycegracie11 1 year ago
It is true. Humans do not need religion to teach us morality. For example, it's common sense that if every human being killed one another, our species would not survive. We don't need religion to know that. The Bible is nothing more then stories with a moral conclusion. Bed time stories for adults and God is like Santa Clause.

I laughed every time someone equates God with morality. If God is indeed the epitome of perfect moral values, the U.S. would be an absolute monarchy with zero democracy since God himself is essentially a tyrant. It's fortunate that the forefathers had the foresight to separate religion from the state- without the separation we would simply be another Iran.

sorry doesn't work that way. you're basing that bullshit on 1 religion out of thousands. what will you do when the ground opens and fenrir the mighty wolf breaks his shackles and begins gotterdammerrung. believing in a religion to be "prepared" is retarded and insulting to all religions.
scottbaioisdead 2 years ago
I can see that you like to argue about points, my friend you have no basis other than the fact you are weak minded individual that can not grasp the concepts of many things. Also tardo, all religions teach preparedness whether it be for the day ahead or for the end of all that exist. If they didn't then what use would their gods be to the believers. Religions teach people to be better people in the eyes of that religion. I'm so everyone enjoys ur dumbass input, so keep posting dumb shit.
yuukanonibu 2 years ago
the use of gods for believers is to keep the ignorant under control. people are afraid of death and afraid of the fact their lives are meaningless. religion is a way for a ruling body to suppress and control weak minded people who are incapable of controlling themselves.
scottbaioisdead 2 years ago
not really, i'm a sciency person and i think religion controls people from being corrupt in many ways such as sex. Science promotes it silently but not intentionally, without God their is no sins so having sex at any age is not wrond or sinful, cause your not going to hell or heaven when u die you just .. well die. I think we need both to balance the world otherwise people will go corrupt silently or not silently and stop being smart and we only have few smart ones like Michio Kaku.

yes but by his own retrospection of the common views of mortality and life can also be applied to his own beliefs. If they do, MMA time
micrasys 3 years ago
Well as an Agnostic person, I'd say who cares whether religion has any truth or not to it. I don't take part in any religion but a lot of my friends / family do and it gives them hope so I feel happy for them. Sure why not. What ever makes you feel better I say. No need to put them down by scientifically proving them wrong. We can just agree to disagree at worst.
micrasys 3 years ago
religion is the cause of so much death, it needs to be proven wrong and removed.
scottbaioisdead 3 years ago
Well Agnostics like me just stay away from religion but respect people who practice it. If it starts to affect me, than I'll defend myself so to speak. The Earth is around 5 billion years old, and humans have been here for millions of years but probably some huge event happened around 4004 BC, where a lot of people died, then after that started a new civiliation, and that's what they mean by the beginning of time. Not a literal thing in my mind.
micrasys 3 years ago
I can see your point of view, however in reality MAN is the cause of so much death, even if religion was removed man would replace it with something else.
Religion is interconnected with the mind, and the multiverse beyond. You know Michio Kaku is interested in other dimensions, and perhaps soon particle physics may find an endless interconnection to all. Religion is only a small part of the overall picture.
"we find no vestige of a beginning, no prospect of an end." :)
crazymadninja 3 years ago
religion is also the cause of many good things as well.
can't lump it into a universal statement.
RavenFlex 3 years ago
yes but I don't think it's the cause. I think it's a reason, an option. It's almost the same argument guns don't kill people bullets do. It's another reason to blame why we are so disgusting on something else. Just like guns are made to kill people, and bullets are just an option.
Zatoichi291 2 years ago
Well said man. Who gives a shit about someone else's beliefs, that's what they believe in, not you. If people were more willing to accept eachother's differences, we wouldn't have problems in the world.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
but you should care about other people's beliefs. obviously you should care about terrorists and their beliefs, or christians who won't get medical help for their children and try to heal them with prayer. but think about even a regular christian who believes someone will go to hell for not believing in jesus, they should care completely about other people and do everything in their power to save people from that fate. even though it's bullshit if they believe it they should care.
scottbaioisdead 3 years ago
True, point taken there man but I was saying that in an agnostic way cuz I'm an agnostic Christian. I was implying that people should have the right to believe in whatever belief they want without being criticized.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
no one has the right to not be criticized, everyone is entitles to their opinion. it just depends on how far the criticism goes. thats like people who want censorship because they're offended, you don't have that right. you have the right to ignore, protest and avoid what offends you but you have no right to stifle it
scottbaioisdead 3 years ago
Nother point taken there.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
Ah ok cuz I was going to say, if it was a SELF look then you may not be as bad as you think, but even then like you said they have no right to judge, they are just as bad as anyone else.
monkeywolf 3 years ago
My point exactly. Like I said, I'm an agnostic Christian so I believe that there is a God but I can't say there is 100% proof there is one because God is one of the things that man will not prove for a long time.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
why aren't you an agnostic hindu then since you can't prove there is no brahmin or shintoist since you can't prove theres no amaterasu etc etc etc
scottbaioisdead 3 years ago
Well, cuz I believe in a God but he's just one thing that we can never prove yet. It's like believing in Bigfoot, you can believe in him/her/it but there's not enough proof to say there is one. Saying that you've experienced God isn't enough to prove he exists. Despite this though, he's just something I believe in.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
An 'agnostic Christian' sounds like an oxymoron. I'm an agnostic so I don't have a religion but I respect those who do. To be honest I'd probably believe Aliens made the pyramids in Egypt before a god as a #2 possibility, of course humans building them are #1. And I'd probably believe our Universe was created in a lab by scientists from a type 3 civiliation over 'god' creating it. But that's just me. If you believe in god hey that's good what ever makes you happy.
micrasys 3 years ago
There are actually such things as agnostic Christians, trust me, I know others who are like me.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
Sure what ever feel right to you as an individual. I assume Agnostic Christians are Christians but at the same time they respect and are open to all other religions. I just thought it would be conflicting. Oh well at least that's more believeable than an Atheist Christian. Than I'd be like woh how does that work haha.
micrasys 3 years ago
That's more or less what an agnostic Christian is.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
If you really look at it every religion is more interconnected, Brahmin is just like Allah, and the Hindu's belief in the 3 forms of their God, Brahmin, Vishnu, and Shiva, is just like the Christian Father, Son, Holy Spirit thing. Just my little .02 cents on that. But really now why do you have to attack him like that? He believes in the Christian God, not the Hindu God that answer is simple enough. Much like how come Hindu's don't believe in Jehova?
monkeywolf 3 years ago
because believing in a specifically christian god when saying you're unsure doesn't make sense since that god states if you believe anything other than his specific doctrine you go to hell.
scottbaioisdead 3 years ago
He doesn't say if you believe in anything other then his doctrine you go to hell, that is wrong, he says if you have other gods (i.e. more then one) you more or less go to hell. I am assuming he is more or less agreeing with the christian view of God over say the Hindu or Jewish or Islamic view of God. That is all. You can be unsure in anything but still believe in it. Like the big bang theory you can be unsure it happened but still believe it. (though it is generally accepted now)
monkeywolf 3 years ago
No, I've never said that I was unsure of a God, I said that I believe in him but I can't say that he exists or doesn't because there's not enough evidence to back up either claim.

scottbaioisdead 3 years ago
Now that's fact. Like I said, I'm considered a bad Christian cuz I have different religious beliefs and I don't go to Church every Sunday. I say they're the bad Christians cuz they go against God's words too. The bible says to love everyone but you got racists, prejudicial people, and anti-gays.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
Now are you considering YOURSELF a bad christian or have people actually told you, that DO go to church every sunday and worship religiously, that you are a bad christian?
monkeywolf 3 years ago
Yeah, the ones who go every Sunday but they have no right to judge. Like I said, there are alot of Christians who are anti-gay, prejudicial, or just racist and they go against some of the major restrictions such as "Thou shalt not kill", where the racist hard core Christians threaten, kill, or assualt anyone whose different.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago
actually the bible states that you should kill anyone who doesn't believe in the same god as you.
And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heavens, which I have not commanded. Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
scottbaioisdead 3 years ago
Actually, I guess this a reason most consider me a bad Christian, I can prove that alot of stuff in the Bible is BS. It says not to alter it but I know for a fact someone had to have. There's proof that the Messiah was married, yet it says that he lived a life of solitude.
OkamiNinja7 3 years ago 2
Where did you read he was married?
Lingerfoot 2 years ago
@scottbaioisdead ya but the bible is only half the story, chosen by the catholic church because of roman oppression. You also have to read the gnostic texts where christ spoke of the creator of the earth, the demiurge who claims himself a god and is in fact a false god. While the God in the heavens is mostly apathic to earth except the time he sent jesus to bring salvation.
poeticphilospher 1 year ago
