  • HOLY SHIT A LION

    QUICK, EAT CHEERIOS

  • mr turtle!

  • LOL they still show the toostie pop commercials to this day randomly xD! (born in 1993)

  • We loved Super Elastic Bubble Plastic. I still remember the funny taste from the fumes when we blew up the bubbles!! LOL

  • The first one must be the only perrenial ad, and even that got chopped due to the limits on commercial length!

  • man those super balls look awsomeXD

  • but if trix are for kids why would u ive them to the painter?

  • Do they stuff still sell super bubble blow up

  • I would like Trix or Froot Loops right now!!

  • Super Elastic Bubble Plastic....ooooh yeahhhhh Love that smell!!

  • yea, cuz when your friend is about to be eaten by a moutain lion, you just pour yourself a bowl of Cheerios...

  • 0:33 I LOVE THAT CRAP! It was the greatest stuff! I never had the big tubes though, just the little ones and in the 90's in was amazing STILL

  • On a trip to the mountains, bring a box of Cheerios.

  • Why the fuck can't the rabbit have any trix, but some random painter can?!?!?!?!

  • I remember a lot of commercials, but I don't remember this one.

  • 1:15 The first time Ive ever seen the TRIX rabbit ever take an actual bite!

  • Girl's getting attacked by a lion, "TIME TO EAT CEREAL."

  • Thanks for the memories UncleCathode !!!

  • I used to smoke super elastic bubble plastic!

  • I remember that Super Plastic Bubble Plastic. You would get so dizzy off the fumes, especially if you inhaled instead of blowing out with the straw.

  • The kid on the "Tootsie Pop" ad sounds alot like Charlie Brown to me!

  • @clintonearlwalker 1. Trix are for........2. The character Count Chocula was a .........3. Tang is high in what vitamin? 4. What shapes could you find in Lucky charms?

  • @clintonearlwalker Hello Mr. Walker. We are impressed with your knowledge of 60's and 70's food products and have selected you along with several people to come to New York all expenses paid for 5 days. In addition you will be paid by the hour for your time, that amount will depend on the value of the results of the research we conduct on you. Are you available March 15-19th? I have to give you a quick quiz to varify your knowledge.

  • What's so wrong with letting the rabbit have some Trix? Ever hear of shareing?

  • Super Elastic Bubble Plastic must be why all of us that were kids in the 70s have serious brain damage. I love how all the toys in the 70s had the disclaimer "sold separately" in every commercial-even the ones that only showed one toy.

  • I wonder how many kids grew up thinking they would gain a lot strength by eating cheerios or spinich. lol

  • @sallyjosie I know I sure did. I remember one time I ate like half a box of Cheerios and went into my bedroom and start hitting the wall with my shoulder like I was superman. I cracked the paint and my dad got pissed. Of course I was going to eat my spinach like Popeye, I nagged my mom for a week to get me some. I took the first bite and spit it back out on my plate, I don't think I've eaten spinach since.

  • @clintonearlwalker I suggest trying spinach again so you can drop a few pounds.

  • @kenfuscious I suggest that you refrain from posting shithead comments as you don't know who you are dealing with. This would be a good policy in general for you, as someone might knock your teeth out for being stupid.

  • @clintonearlwalker Lighten up grandpa. Seems I struck a nerve with you about your weight. I was just trying to give you some advice. Was I wrong?

  • @clintonearlwalker Actually Mr. Walker I'm working on a documentary at NYU about the history of nutrition and I stumbled across your comment 2 days ago. I would like to contact you and interview you. Between 1968 and 71 you were allowed to eat a half of box of Cheerios but you had to nag your mom for a week to buy you spinach,is this correct? When you ate the Cheerios you had an event when you were in some sort of rage? Interesting. Please leave me your number much appreciated.

  • @kenfuscious Not going to leave you any number bub, you can contact me here anytime on YouTube through a personal message. When I ate those Cheerios, I was a little kid, I was born in 1961, so it was prolly around 1966 or 1967, as we moved out of that apartment in 1968. The ads of the day said basically Cheerios made you stronger, being a kid I just started hitting the wall with my shoulder. Popeye always ate spinach in his cartoons to become stronger. I hated the taste as a kid, still do.

  • @clintonearlwalker Actually you're right spinach tastes like wet grass. We're interested in Tang, ,Franken Berry , Count Chocula, Honey Comb and Burger Chef any knowledge of these franchises?

  • @kenfuscious Of course I know all those franchises, also Quisp, Quake, Post Rasin Bran, Capn' Crunch, Trix, Cocoa Puffs, and many others. I used to eat Franken Berry and Count Chocula cereal for breakfast before school. I also remember a sweetener, unfortunately I can't remember the name. It had a "new and improved" ingredient called "cyclamates". If you are interested in nutrition from that period, look up "cyclemates". It came in a bottle as a syrup we used often, (until it was banned).

  • @clintonearlwalker Do you mean saccharine? We are highly interested in saccharine and would pay top dollar to do a non evasive exam of your prostate, Mr. Walker have you ever ingested the beverage Tab? We also are interested in the Crunch Berries in Catain Crunch and the muti colored balls in Trix and have you ever heard of Lucky Charms? Obviously we can't prove you ate these items but if you can prove date of birth and some knowledge you could earn up to 500 dollars a day and a fre trip to NYC

  • @kenfuscious No I don't mean saccharine, I mean cyclamates. Cyclamates was an artificial sweetner that was available in the 1960's, I think it was found to cause cancer in lab rats so they banned it in the US (after I used many bottles of it). After it was banned they came out with saccharine which I think was also banned and replaced with aspartame. My grand mother drank Tab all the time, I only drank it occasionally, didn't like the taste. I ate Lucky Charms also. Send me a personal message

  • They still make that plastic balloon stuff. My sister bought some a few years back and got it on my car without telling me. Unfortunately, it hardened overnight, and I still haven't been able to get the darn stuff off!

  • God, please!!! Let me go back to the 1970's. Please!

  • I want the wham-o super ball thing!!!!

  • I still wouldve kicked the Owls ass after eating the Tootsie Pop!

  • they just dont make it em like this anymore memories

  • Wow I really remember that classic Cherrio's one..I was born in 65 so these were my commercials to watch, too funny,,,,,

  • I wonder what kinds of carcinogens we were exposed to with that super elastic bubble plastic? I loved the smell... Never could blow a ballon with it though! It made great spitballs if you rolled it tight and let it harden! :)

  • Boy I remember watching these. Great and fun times.

  • I remember these!

  • Glad i was born in 1963...best tv shows and commercials and toys!!!!

  • Wait wait wait! Is this trix commercial the ONLY video evidence I have seen where the bunny ACTUALLY take a bite of trix cereal?

My mind has now been blown

  • @Onijsan Oh, like you're the only one who doesn't know who he is until his ears flop out from under his hat?

  • I loved smelling super elastic bubble plastic. No wonder you can't find it anymore!

  • @dj99surf I find it funny that you say that, because I got some for my birthday in 2001... it's called "B'loonies" now, and you can still get it in Walmarts or Meijers, last time I checked. It doesn't really work that well, though. But it's still plastic in a tube that blows up to be a balloon! And if you do it right, you can stick it with a fork and it won't pop!

  • Super Elastic Bubble plastic was a parents worst nightmare!

  • Why is the Tootsie Pop kid naked?

  • My dad had Super Eladtic Bubbles Plastic...he said the fumes tasted terrible and made you high. John Heffron even did a bit on his comedy tour about it.

  • Wow...in the 60's/70's the Rabbit actually got some Trix? And he got to eat them as well?

  • @wolfmyth007 Hey... that was a surprise to me and I'm 46 years old. I remember in the mid seventies they did a mail-in vote on should the rabbit eat Tricks. He won but only got one bite like this commercial. That commercial was probably from the late 60's.

  • @bhossast I've got news for you: they've been doing that EVERY ELECTION YEAR SINCE THE '70'S!!!!! All the kids vote in, they all vote for him, & the rabbit gets a whole box to himself for one whole commercial - they've been doing that for YEARS!! Where've YOU been?

  • @Maskedmutant I never knew that but I went from Trix to Beer!! I never see any Trix commercials but then I don't watch cartoons.

  • The Rabbit got the trix!!

  • lol the rabbit did get some trix if recall

  • 2 comments: 1. I think that the first one, the Tootsie Pops, is still being shown today. I recall seeing it on TV in recent times. 2. At the end of the Wham-o one where it shows the logo & being since 1948, that was only about 20 years in the past at the time. If i saw something boasting about being since 1988 or 1990, I wouldn't be impressed, beacuse 20 years seems to go by much faster today than it did then!

  • Im still HIGH from BUBBLE PLASTIC!!!!

  • That bubble plastic was awesome!

  • that super elastic bubble plastic stuff looks AMAZING!

  • Mr. Toad, how many licks of you does it take to get to the center of a Rhode Island Correctional Facility cell?

    *SLAM*

    Just one.

  • @Kennyboy123 your over fifty and u talk like that. You sound fifteen

  • SEE! Most people don't even know who Mr. Turtle was. :( its sad seeing today's society know nothing.

  • I could never ever blow those baloons up I used to get so mad

  • They still show Tootsie Roll Pop commercial now.. o-o

  • GOD its been like 50 yrs. that rabbit deserves some trix! :)

  • He should learn from his mistakes and just buy some. Or bring them to court for stealing them from him and emotional trauma from years of being stalked and mocked at by children.

  • @snoopyluver04 He should actually get a freaking job painting and buy his own like the rest of us have to.

  • @snoopyluver04 At least in this one, he got to eat a spoonful in this one.

  • I remember now, I had this creepy ass nightmare when I was 4 years old. It was about that Cheerios commercial!!

  • I remember those blow up balloons by Wham-o. They were sort of fun, but didn't last too long.

  • Except for a brief time, the Tootsie Pop ad has been continously running since 1971.

  • I think the Rabbit might have been a pedophile back then and no one noticed.

  • That tootsie pop commercial still plays today. I've seen it on cartoon network and stuff.

  • those ballons seemed interesting, never saw them before, but the comercials still are wierd

  • The Trix rabbit seemed like a creeper back then.

  • I had Super Elastic Bubble Plastic! Man, that shit STANK!

  • Damn, I'm like 26 and I want one of those Firetron Superballs! That says something about the commercial's effectiveness-- and my mental age, haha.

  • I agree. The Superball looks badass.

  • I always thought the kids were being stingy not to allow the rabbit to keep eating the trix. specially since it was his face on the box, he already ate some and he liked em.

  • that tootsie pop comercial has been on for almost 40 years

  • I remember seeing that tootsie pop commercial in the early 90's.

  • "It's the rabbit, and he ate some trix...KILL HIM!"

    (^_^)

  • well thats first time i ever saw the rabbit get the trix hahah. too bad these commercials were way before my time lol

  • i remember the super elastic bubble plastic! two things the smell and could never get to make decent size ball out of it. just a small mishaped blob. scarred me for life! lol

  • @mac163 I would blow those balls up and then accidentailly inhale those toxic fumes if you breathed in. Couldn't have been safe.

  • HAI KIDZ! I HAS TRIX!

  • that super elastic stuff was awsome. use to love the smell of that stuff lol...

  • OMG me too!

  • When I was a kid, that owl made me mad because he licked the tootsie pop 3 times then bit into it. Doesn't that count as 4 licks?

  • that tutsy pop commertial is still on too the one wit the owl

  • why can't kids just share food? like in the trix commercial.. :D

  • Ahh yes, Super Elastic Bubble Plastic! They made toys bad for the enviroment even back then. Yeah, I had some...

  • Me too, I remember the fumes from that stuff being mighty noxious,

  • Mr. Owl, how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop? That boy on that tootsie pop commercial sounds like Charlie Brown!

  • That Tootsie Pop commercial is still in use today, nearly four decades later!

  • 1:54 Something you'll never see again, a boy saving a girl.

Today, its considered offensive. ;) Enjoy.

  • @luckyvet The world fucking sucks.

  • Especially if he's white.

  • Comment removed

  • @germinator209 have you tried chocolate cherrios? those are gross and still tasteless.

  • @jeg97256 nope. I didn't know they had those

  • @luckyvet no kiding

  • @luckyvet you can thank gloria steinem and ms. magazine for that.

  • @luckyvet Actually, today, the girl would eat the cheerios and rescue the boy.

  • @pyrogyra72: Not really, Kid and Sue are like what Mickey and Minnie would be if they were human. Sure, today Sue and Mickey would each play a part, but Kid and Mickey would always be the star, with Sue and Minnie as the leading ladies.

  • "It's the rabbit, and he ate some Trix!" This calls for celebration!

  • 837! That's how many licks! Man, I was bored that day...

  • The fumes off that Bubble Plastic made you feel like a bubble.

    (%^ ~

  • YES!! YES YES YES YES! THE TRIX RABBIT FINALLY GOT HIS TRIX and funny thing is i was born in 1987 so i was unaware of it XD

  • This is when saturday mornings meant something. Now it is sooooo boring.

  • Comment removed

  • omg I LOVED SUPER ELASTIC BUBBLE PLASTIC!!!

  • holy shit cheerios are steroids11 give me some of that shit!!

  • holly shit! the trix bunny actually had some damn trix! i knew all he had to be was a mother fucken painter! too bad it was the first and last time ....

  • I was thinking the same exact thing :O

  • that toosie roll pop commerical is shown a bit today

lol its probably the oldest original commercial in broadcasting

  • I remember how Super Elastic Bubble Plastic smelled so "groovy" if you know what I mean....^_^

  • because EVERYONE whips out a bowl and a box of cheerios on a mountain while running from a lion... :) oh how I LOVE the 70's <3

  • Whamo-O..?

Do You Think There Is Any LEAD or other Chems in there? No thank you China.

I'll stick with my Trix and Cheerios.

I'm headed back to Sigmon and the sea monsters and meeting HR PuffN'Stuff.

    Thanks For The Share

  • The Tootsie Pop ad ran for generations. Seriously, at least 20-years. There was a variation (re-edit, I believe) on recently I think. Sometimes simplicity is key. Really nice. This whole reel brings back so many memories! I must have wasted quite a bit of time in front of the tube. Now I waste it in front of the computer!

  • I hear you there!! ^_^

  • i wonder how many retarted little kids actually tried to fight mtn lions after eating cheerios... lol

  • I think it's funny that the tootsie pop commercial still plays on TV.

  • Super elastic bubble plastic!!!

  • That tricky rabbit. :)

  • OMG i remember those blow up bubbles. i sucked in one time to make it smaller....BAD IDEA. the most horrible taste in the world. lol nasty as hell.

  • Believe it or not, this one's still on t.v.

  • My God, This is so kool seeing these again!! thank you.

  • Wow, I wish that Fire-Tron Superball and Super-elastic bubble-plastic was around in my days in 1980's.

  • HOLY- The Rabbit actually ate some Trix! ....At least back then he knew what they tasted like... Now, its SOL for the Rabbit.

  • He's eaten trix in a few commercials. There was actually a contest a few years back where everyone voted to let him have a bowl.

  • i could never blow up those damb super balls

  • I remember the tootsie pop commercial.

  • You ever try to blow those damb baloons up

  • I use to think it was so funny how the cheerio kid would stop and break out a bowl of cheerios while poor sue was about to be mauled by a mountian lion!! LOL!!

  • I had a super elastic bubble plastic bubble drift into my neighbor's yard one day. The old lady's dog started chewin' on it, I jumped the fence to save the dog, (knowing the stuff was poisonous) She came outa that house with an iron skillet ready to kill me! God, those were the days!

  • All super elastic bubble plastic did was make a mess and make me faint

  • i consistently got 189

  • omg....the rabbit ACTUALLY got a bite of Trix...he NEVER gets even ONE BITE in todays commercials...that kinda makes me happy...at least he got one!

  • tooties roll = 379 licks according to M.I.T study

  • I got that bubble plastic crap for my b-day when I was a kid but my mom made my dad blow it up for me BECAUSE IT WAS POISON!!!!!

  • Super elastic bubble plastic pissed me off. The commercials made it look like you would create a REAL rubber ball. But the things were just toxic bubble gum bubbles.

  • That's so freaky all those commercials again.

  • Holy crap, look how high that ball bounces at 0:33

  • Oh, that's a nice little collection. How do you get these things?

Wham-O made everything I desired as a kid. I think that there's one main reason why the US won the Cold War. Soviet kids had no Firetron Superballs. This weakened their belief in the benevolence of the State and the ruling Politburo.

  • I HAD THAT PLASTIC BUBBLE!

I was born in '88, and my grandma used to buy it all the time. Oh I loved it

  • I had that wild Superalstic...To Funny thanks for posting

  • Wow that takes me back.

    Thanks for posting.

  • super elastic bubble plastic!!!!! Ha ha ha!!! I forgot all about that!!

  • the first, with the turtle, is so not the one as it aired..see Mr.Cow.

  • did that ball come with a wrnig tag you could take someones eye out

  • No, it did not, it was a simpler time. We were happy, eyeless true, but happy.

  • LOL...Memories ..memories...Ah yes i remember them well...sigh. damn im old...lol. Hey anybody remember eating Kaboom cereal. ahhhh....my innocent youthful days of eating sugar filled cereals that were busy eating away the enamel of ALL my teeth. AAAH but thanks to the advances of science since...my new bionic teeth are better faster and stronger than any real tooth i ever had!

  • I wonder if the ball commercial is where SNL got their idea for the Happy Fun Ball parody.

  • Even though I'm a 90's child, I remember that elastic-bubble-thingy. I use to get those every Christmas. They don't really work like they did on that commercial.

  • i forgot all about the Super-elastic-bubble-plastic i use to play wit that stuff all the time

  • Why did those kids on the Cheerios thing get replaced with that reatarded bee? ):

  • They're advertising plain Cheerios. The bee is only for Honey Nut.

  • PBButterDough/WolfeGang: Yeah. Both Kid and Sue AND Buzz Bee were around the same, both promoting a brand of the same cereal (The Cheerios Kids promoting the regular stuff and Buzz promoting the honey nut variant). Heck, for all we know, Kid and Sue live across the street from each other (because according to earlier commercials from the 60's and 70's, they're boyfriend and girlfriend) and one of their yards has the hive where Buzz and the other bees live.

  • HOLY CRAP! The rabbit got to EAT the Trix? Silleh rabbit! =D

  • Fun fact about Super Ball: That's how the term "Super Bowl" came about: The guy who coined the term thought of it after seeing his daughter play with a Super Ball. It was originally a joke at first, but then the "Super Bowl" bounced into nationwide use.

  • OMG

i want some of that Super-elastic-bubble-plastic shitt

  • same

  • Super Elastic Bubble Plastic. Great Stuff,Smelled Awful Though, Thanks for Sharing.

  • How far back DOES that Tootsie Pop commercial go? I thought it debuted about 1973-ish.

  • Eat Cheerios and you can out run a mountain lion...

  • Super Elastic Bubble Plastic a Moms worst nightmare!I remember that stuff i rememeber the way it ruined funiture and rugs and an angry Mom grounding us for an eternity! I would do it all over again! Thanks for the fun memories!
