Our local sirens are tested every day at noon by firing off the Westminster chimes. Scared the hell out of me when they went off for a real live tornado a couple of years ago, but I was glad they worked.

Our eows use to do the westminster chime always at noon, and at 5:00 pm.

but it always would wail when their was a tornado warning. sometimes We use to have 2 eows sirens but both are gone. the other ran an alternate wail.

the EOWS* 612 is definitley the best electronic siren ever made, then the 1212, then the modulator. All whelens other than the 3016 suck, and wow. Don't even mention ATI's.
