  • cant really see what your doing lighting needs to be better

  • I couldn't even watch this, the title of it is so stupid. Blending has nothing to do with skin color. In order for someone to blend makeup well they have to have skill, patience, and an understanding of face shapes and eye shapes. Titling a video "how to blend shadows for african american women" makes it sound like all black people have the same bone structure.

  • OK I understand that this is an old post, but, eyebrows still needed to be groomed back then. Her brows need some serious taming.

  • @calmingspirit1 "Back then"...this was 2008...

  • i want her lips.. it looks like she's always smiling.

  • Why is This Called Makeup For Women Of Colour is White Not a Colour !?

  • Why ''African American'' skin?? why don't just say dark skin? why you are trying to sound all politically correct and shit? THERES NO SUCH THING AS AFRICAN AMERICAN SKIN.

  • Even though I am not a professional Makeup Artist but, I would love to do someone's makeup if they were to allow me.

  • @MakeUp4ever1010 I would love to let someone do my makeup but I always feel so unnatural with makeup, Maybe it's my youthful look. With makeup I feel like I look like a 4 year old with makeup on for a pageant just weird

  • ? I didn't know there was a certain way to blend eyeshadows on "African American" women. I don't think race has anything to do with it. I think blending is all in the technique because all African American women are not the same color.

  • Does this work for light skinned black women as well?

  • O K ... CAN ANYONE OUT THERE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF PRIMER SHE SAID SHE USED. I did hear it had a GOLD tone to it. But I could'nt understand what she said who it was by. Be Kind Everybody, and post it for me. I LOVE YOUTUBE

  • @Afranks9903 Urban Decay Primer Potion

  • I cannot see the color

  • @MrNajla22 Perhaps you are blind, or either simply dumb.

  • those'z kolor'z qo P E R F E C T 2qetha

    -NeeseeBooBow-

  • I'm so against this denomination "PEOPLE OF COLOR".

who on hearth came up with this word?

  • @whatoyou THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!! Everyone is SOME color... therefore ALL PEOPLE are "people of color"... Funny that the designation is made that some people are just "people" but we are "people of color"... Time for the madness to stop. I also note that no mention was made of "people of no color" wonder why THAT is????????????????????????????? STUPID and INSULTING.

  • I honestly don't see how skin color even matters in this video. Anyone applying makeup would basically use the same technique.

  • @ThaButtaFly um, actually some colors look crappy on dark skin, sooo...

  • @mdrocksta Im not saying that they dont but this video was only to teach you how blend the eyeshadow not what colors to use

  • That woman's skin is amazing.

  • well that didnt help at all..didnt know what she was trying to achieve there, the lighting made it worse..!!

  • The model has nice features and pretty skin.

  • i dnt find these vids helpful. they dnt show anything.

  • Well supposedly "women of color" is supposed to refer to minority women, not just black women. There are plenty of nationalities that have darker skin tones that are not black...hispanic, middle eastern, asian or pacific islander, native american...etc. The term is intended to be for a broad spectrum of minority women.

  • no we are brown skin or light not dark

  • @Acegirl009 I think the phrase "women of Color" is good. It doesn't matter that the Cosmetic companies use the phrase. Women of Color are blessed to have a variety of skin tones, and as an African American woman, I love my brown skin. Let the companies think what they want. We can be 32 yrs of age, and with our smooth skin of color look 22. Just because they don't make a lot of products for us, doesn't mean women of color look bad. It means we can look good naturally.

  • You are so right i am half white and half black. Yes it is a little more easier because i am a sorta of heavy tan but it is hard for me to get it just right. I am glad that you are a proud women black or white.

  • @cheetah50cent same here, i agree, the women of two races just gives us a reason to be proud of both

  • woman of color sounds more classy and pretty...

instead of saying "im dating a black girl"

    you could say

"I'm dating a colorful woman." ...plus its more fun to say

  • i coulnt even see it !

  • seriously does it rly matter wether you call it woman of color or black person? who cares

  • women of color inplies that its a latina women, black, indian etc.

not just african american...there are other colors than b&w

  • The lighting for these videos suck.

  • omg the model has the most amazing skin. not fair!!

  • i was just thinking that!

  • JudiG = just for imformation black and white are not color .( that what i learn at school) .. so you're a dark skin or a light skin ... the dénomination of "person of color" is a invented term of white person (i criticize anyperson a just expose facts) to define all who wasn't white ... so personlay i'm not a women of color but just a dark skin woman or a black women ... (sorry for my engish i'm french ! )

  • yeah! that's right girl !!!!

  • @01beauty01 It always takes a non-American to shed led light on an American problem...thank you!

  • @01beauty01 You tell them baby! For once it's good to hear that from someone who is not American!

  • @01beauty01 your prefence

  • The model is truly beautiful!

  • why did they call her "women of color" ??! that a black woman that's all and not of color !!!!

  • Because just saying "Black woman" doesn't define anything. We are "women of color" because of the very wide range of skin tones and types within our races. And I say "races" because the term refers to all women with light to dark brown skin tones - not just of African descent, but Latina, Indian, Filipina, etc...

  • she is a black women of colour. just because shes not BLACK doesnt mean she isnt. the term of woman of colour is any women with colour in her skin.

  • But she is a woman of color... she has color. I'm hispanic, a black hispanic, I'm a woman of color. I mean a woman of color is someone who has darker skin that ranges from tan to coffee. It isn't racist. I just wish that people would cease to imply it meant only black people.

  • her skin looks fantastic, but this video really was not well lit; hard to see, and the angles didn't help. Can we get a redo, and show the tutorial start to finish?

  • This vido may be helpf ul to some, but for me it's too dark! The lighting is terrible!

  • she's a beautiful black woman

  • @iamifa no, she's a beautiful woman period.

  • pplz got problemz...LOL....

  • LMAO!

  • you can clearly see this women has black features aint shit about her white or want to be white. wow they know how to fuck up a persons morning.

  • thats a whole load of crap...what do u mean??/

  • yeah what the hell do that broad mean. ive seen ugly ass white women and ugly black women.

  • thats bullshit! ive seen plenty ugly ass white women. because shes a beautiful black women shes gotta be painted? bitch please

  • the lady speaking is not that attractive. so what does she look like? a black women painted white. your comment was very ignorant and makes no sense. every fuckin video i watch on youtube you racist fucks got to be on it! its fuckin ridiculous. gettin a fuckin life and get GOD!
