I couldn't even watch this, the title of it is so stupid. Blending has nothing to do with skin color. In order for someone to blend makeup well they have to have skill, patience, and an understanding of face shapes and eye shapes. Titling a video "how to blend shadows for african american women" makes it sound like all black people have the same bone structure.
Why ''African American'' skin?? why don't just say dark skin? why you are trying to sound all politically correct and shit? THERES NO SUCH THING AS AFRICAN AMERICAN SKIN.
@MakeUp4ever1010 I would love to let someone do my makeup but I always feel so unnatural with makeup, Maybe it's my youthful look. With makeup I feel like I look like a 4 year old with makeup on for a pageant just weird
? I didn't know there was a certain way to blend eyeshadows on "African American" women. I don't think race has anything to do with it. I think blending is all in the technique because all African American women are not the same color.
O K ... CAN ANYONE OUT THERE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF PRIMER SHE SAID SHE USED. I did hear it had a GOLD tone to it. But I could'nt understand what she said who it was by. Be Kind Everybody, and post it for me. I LOVE YOUTUBE
@whatoyou THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!! Everyone is SOME color... therefore ALL PEOPLE are "people of color"... Funny that the designation is made that some people are just "people" but we are "people of color"... Time for the madness to stop. I also note that no mention was made of "people of no color" wonder why THAT is????????????????????????????? STUPID and INSULTING.
Well supposedly "women of color" is supposed to refer to minority women, not just black women. There are plenty of nationalities that have darker skin tones that are not black...hispanic, middle eastern, asian or pacific islander, native american...etc. The term is intended to be for a broad spectrum of minority women.

This whole "Woman of Colour" thing is funny to me. I think it was invented by cosmetic companies trying to not offend black people or otherwise ethnic people while selling their products to us. But to me it suggests that saying I'm black (or whatever) is somehow making me look bad, which is ridiculous. Another politically correct term gone bad.
@Acegirl009 I think the phrase "women of Color" is good. It doesn't matter that the Cosmetic companies use the phrase. Women of Color are blessed to have a variety of skin tones, and as an African American woman, I love my brown skin. Let the companies think what they want. We can be 32 yrs of age, and with our smooth skin of color look 22. Just because they don't make a lot of products for us, doesn't mean women of color look bad. It means we can look good naturally.
You are so right i am half white and half black. Yes it is a little more easier because i am a sorta of heavy tan but it is hard for me to get it just right. I am glad that you are a proud women black or white.
JudiG = just for imformation black and white are not color .( that what i learn at school) .. so you're a dark skin or a light skin ... the dénomination of "person of color" is a invented term of white person (i criticize anyperson a just expose facts) to define all who wasn't white ... so personlay i'm not a women of color but just a dark skin woman or a black women ... (sorry for my engish i'm french ! )
Because just saying "Black woman" doesn't define anything. We are "women of color" because of the very wide range of skin tones and types within our races. And I say "races" because the term refers to all women with light to dark brown skin tones - not just of African descent, but Latina, Indian, Filipina, etc...
But she is a woman of color... she has color. I'm hispanic, a black hispanic, I'm a woman of color. I mean a woman of color is someone who has darker skin that ranges from tan to coffee. It isn't racist. I just wish that people would cease to imply it meant only black people.
her skin looks fantastic, but this video really was not well lit; hard to see, and the angles didn't help. Can we get a redo, and show the tutorial start to finish?
the lady speaking is not that attractive. so what does she look like? a black women painted white. your comment was very ignorant and makes no sense. every fuckin video i watch on youtube you racist fucks got to be on it! its fuckin ridiculous. gettin a fuckin life and get GOD!
cant really see what your doing lighting needs to be better

I honestly don't see how skin color even matters in this video. Anyone applying makeup would basically use the same technique.
