I'm reading American Gods. I NEED to read Good Omens. I love the humor in his books. I laughed aloud when the raven told Shadow to fuck off after his Edger Allen Poe joke.
I started reading Neil Gaiman's book because a T.V. show takes a lot from his books. I was going to say you should try watching it but you don't watch T.V. They are getting into a plot this season that resinates with Good Omens plot. Or so I'm told, I haven't read it yet.
oh this book is cursed alright. i had it three days and it was stabbed, bent, ripped and dirtied. it is considerably cursed. but i consider all the rips and tears a testament to how much i love it. :3
The book was HILARIOUS. One time I was in class completely ignoring the teacher's lecture and reading Good Omens, and there was a joke in which the authors explain what the color infra-black is, and I literally had to put the book down to laugh my ass off. Of course everyone noticed and it almost earned me detention. But it was worth it! Awesome stuff!!!
I need to read this book :) Love the style of Teryr Pratchett! Haven't read to much of neighter of them yet... but the little I've read has been great!
I have three copys of "good omens" all look 100 years old. This book will change your life, and kids please dont try armagedon at home! There are very few books i can read over and over and never tire of and "good omens" is one of them .
I remember when I was reading Good Omens at school durring lunch my friend was putting some mustard on his food, and he openned it wrong or something, and it exploded all over my book. Yep, and that's not even the extent of what that copy has been through.
It's a cursed book, but one of my personal favorites.
It has to be a cursed book, all of my other books are in pristine condition and some I have read 4 or 5 times. This book I only read once and it got destroyed!
@kingcanti I got the audio book from the library, I"m at the last CD now. None of them have gotten damaged but every CD seems to require a diff way to read it. like the last CD, only CD player I can get it to work in is my truck cd player. one only my comp would play, one only my xbox would play, one only my portable dvd player would play....I've been having to switch between all these mediums to hear all of it. but GREAT book, bout to go drive around and listen to the last of it.
I love that book, one of my all time favourites actually. =)
The only one I wouldn't recommend the book for is a really conservative christian, sseing as it's not really "respectfull" ;) But as long as you've got a sense of humour, you should love it!

The Infra-black bit was also one of my favorite parts. That, and the bit about Crowley's computer warranties.
