Is this game as bad as people say? I've seen loads of videos, and played the demo, it felt normal as any other total war game. Maybe Campaign map is totally a headache. But anyway the only reason i didnt buy the game is cuz my faction was not playable lol.

THIS IS AWESUMMMMMMM) when i got empire it had so many fucking bugs and you had a billion small nations you couldnt play as but had to wait for there turns (napoleon did this to but atleast the game didnt have 1 billion bugs)

@amoungthefree True, Empire wasnt tested propally.. Infact I have never finished a campaign of Empire.. I got to abou 15 turns and just could not be botherd waiting anymore.. But, this one bad game SHOULD not bring down Creative Assembly's other total war games.. Because they WERE amazing

i have just ordered this game. my brother has always been a big strategy fan, i found them very boring. but I recently played Homeworld, then CoH and became hooked (on rts, at least) I hope this one gives me a bit more to get my teeth into, seen as its a turnbased strategy!

I like this one more than Napoleon over all. At first there were a lot of bugs, but all the patches have done a pretty good job fixing everything and improving the AI.

2nd: You are able to create an army before every battle. I don't think you can really make a custom army you can use over and over again though.

Great review. I was playing as the British and when I invaded the Cherokee and French simulataneously while having taxes at the max.  This almost always triggers the Scottish/Irish and English Rebellion. The English rebellion goes straight for your capitol, and if you choose the rebel's side, you will loose everything besides the rebel units. LoL.

A good review, but once again a Hippocratic review, in that once again the Princess and Religious and Assassin characters have been called 'useless'.

Go and read every Medieval War II review and try and find ONE that said these characters were useless or not needed or awkward etc. And yet just because they get dropped by the publisher (always called 'streamlined' when 'dumbed down' are the true words), they immediately become 'bad' Well, where did they say this with MW II?!!

I agree. The Assassin character was one of the most usefull in rome total war. however it did seem to lose some of it's strength in medievil. the Princesses wern't particullaly useful. Diplomats I will miss. Also Religion had lost a great deal of it's relevancy in this era. The church could no longer call for crusades and the threat of excommunication no longer held such sway. i think the religius characters will reappear in later games set in earlier eras.

its turn by turn only on the campaign map, battles are RTS. And the game ends after a century, but I think there's the option to continue the game except no historical events are gonna happen after year 1800 or so.

almost all TW games have an ending point after you finish the missions and conquer what you need, however it gives you the option to keep playing and conquer the world! (that takes over a week!)

it sucks that i lost my steam account as your user name has to be so long and cant remember it! so you install the game lose your account and you uninstall the game and you cant play the game from there! it says the package code was activated on activated another account and there you go :) cant play the game as i have lost my steam account! fuck me im taking the game back to the shop and i have to say this! :(

Steam, Is something new for me.

I am not particular impressed with it, If you forget your name and password, You wont be able to open a new account with your cd key ,untill the old one is closed.

Which also makes me think that buying and selling used games will be impossible because of this.

The steam email service is unreliable, When you request the account retrieval service.

you need the internet just to start up and play the game,Despite the fact its mostly a offline game

Hi. I've got a problem.

I've downloaded the demo version off of Steam.

It takes so long to load to get to the menu, and to get into and out of battles. It's just driving me insane, as i dont want ½ my playing time to go away with loadings. I want to hear if this is just a problem with the Demo version, or it is a fact.

My system is great, so It's not that i lag anything.
