  • Also, Europe is a place where government does intervene in economy and general infrastructure, it seems to me that US has a much stronger economy and as many point out Greece is that ultimate example. Government builds more projects, hires more people, those people unionize, elect officials who give them better benefits, repeat, repeat, repeat and 10 years later the government is basically bankrupt and up to its neck in health care and pension obligations.

  • Your argument is incorrect. First of, neocons are not really against all government programs, they are for more effective government. Example, Obama basically requested that all projects above $25 mil that are part of stimulus bill are to give preference to corporations with unionized workforce. Which of course slows down projects and makes them far more expensive. Neocons are against these rules, they would not allow this unionization, which would keep costs of projects down.
