Try a few granules of natural rock salt... it's a very good electrolyser... should give good results.

Re: AC Readings ... It's a good idea to publish all findings when experimenting .. in this way, others can replicate ... also we find that AC readings do rise with those of DC, thus we have a kind of backup reading that correlates to our DC findings ... whether or not there's actual AC output ... sorry about the sound quality ..
