Is COMCTL32.DLL version 5.8 on this system? COMCTL32.DLL 5.8 is a huge resource leak. I would go to toastytech and get the version 5.0 which doesn't have the leak.
@kargaroc386 Actually it is version 5.0. I took care of that when I first heard about the bugs in version 5.8. I know exactly what you mean man. By the way, toastytech has some pretty cool stuff on that site. I love some of the Windows 95 modifications he has made. Cool stuff!
@kbhasikevin You would use the original master CD which came with the computer. It would include a boot floppy and a CD with Windows 95 and the original software package that came preinstalled. It did not have any kind of recovery partition or anything else like today's computers.
@oc5nsli341nforce4 Oh yes, I like those too! I plan on doing some video reviews on some of my favorite games from the Packard Bell collection. Many of them came with the Microsoft Entertainment Pack for Windows. Too bad about your old Packard Bell 486 system. How long did you have that one?
I bought it a few years ago at a thrift store for $25 for just the bare system unit. I later lost it 3 years ago in a move. Storage, I couldn't maintain the payments.

My favorite thing about packard bell was the games that came with them. I had a packard bell 486 but it died then lost it in storage.
